What I didn't mention in my post was that the dual diode had blown up, putting a hole in the board which destroyed the copper trace that leads to the cap. At that point it was easier to just take out the resistor so +12v would not even reach that point. Having only a basic knowledge of electronics I ...

Low output solution
My M50 was barely audible so having a tiny bit of electronics knowledge I decided to try and fix it. I looked over the schematic and it turns out by just removing one resistor (R14), and the diode(WD1), it takes the muting circuit out of the equation altogether. So I reassembled it, plugged ...

problem solved
not sure what happened, but I tried plugging the pedal, which is in fact just a switch, not a damper pedal, into the damper input and it works as it should now. Now to open 'er up again and check the muting circuit for my other problem of barely audible outs.

sustain pedal only working as a switch, but no sustain
I think this is a hardware problem. Just got an M50 73 (again), and when using the sustain pedal with the correct polarity and all correct settings, it works when used for value, drum track on/off, arp and all other settings, but when set to sustenudo, nothing. If I play a chord and then hit the ...

size limits
Hi Daroka, I had gotten a floppy to usb drive conversion for my Triton back in the day and afaik the usb gets seperated into virtual floppy disks with 1.44mb like real floppies. So you end up with say 99 virtual floppies on a usb but still are limited to that 1.44 per floppy. It's been a while but ...

welcome aboard
Welcome, I've come and gone here at the forums due to my love/hate relationship with Korg. So I've been to other forums that I have found unmotifating if you know what I mean. The Korg forums have the nicest, most intelligent group of folks of any keyboard forum. So enjoy your stay!

I got mine for free by googling it. I'd have to figure out how to let you download it from me. Maybe google drive or something.

exp = expressive
Yeah, I think you're correct in assuming it means 'expressive'. I did some research thinking maybe it meant 'expanded' as in from the orchestral expansion board from the Triton or something, but even on the expansion board itself some sounds have EXP in the name. So I think it is just 'expressive ...

Triton extreme service manual
I found the service manual just by googling it. There were a few sites that had it so I downloaded it for free. Got mine from pdfcoffee.com(seemed like the safest site).

loading samples
I just wanted to add, that I was disappointed at first with the thought of having to reload my samples at each power up (if I intended on using them that session), until I realized just how fast the Triton Extreme is at loading samples. I can load samples of an acoustic guitar in just a minute or ...

yes you can
page 117 of the operations manual explains how to save all your internal sounds on a usb flash drive. I've downloaded lots of the patches from the downloads page and quite a few are really usable and there's alot of cool and weird stuff too. I like that when you plug in your usb, you can listen to ...

keep your extremes...got another one!
Well, I did manage to find another 76 key Extreme.
I'm pretty busy and going through a midlife crisis I think, so I haven't been playing it much lately, but it's nice to know it's there when I need it and can do everything I want it to.
Thanks for the replies, made me feel better!
