Try only noise thru the Excitation Filter set to band pass.
Fiddle with the cutoff and high resonance, soft attack.
You should get some sparkly sounds.
Once you find a sweet spot, try mixing in PCM sounds.
The STR1 engine can have a very high fidelity sound.

If your electric bass is an HD1 program: Octave and Transpose settings are on the Osc Basic page. If your bass is an Exi, Transpose is on Program Basic page. Transpose here goes to +/- 60 semitones, which is 5 octaves. If you have it in a Combi: Timbre/Pitch is where you can set its tuning. If it's ...

Re: Pattern mode like motif sequencer on kronos ?
I know this thread is REALLY OLD, but I found it while looking for the answer you were looking for, ojkid. I own a Yamaha Motif ES6 and love using Pattern Mode for live performance, and hopefully could find a similar function/feature for my Kronos-2 61. I'm kind of bummed that I have to assign ...

Yes, KARMA should be able to do it. A few years ago I used KARMA to do something similar. But more from a horn section view. All played live by just the right hand doing 4-5 note chords: - trumpet top note - alto and tenor sax middle notes - trombones lower notes I seem to recall it had to do with ...

I've been using a 2017 iPad Pro for a couple years now. It was $300 used, and is plenty powerful. That model is the last one to include a headphone jack. It should be plenty powerful for the remote display app. Another bonus is it's good enough for running PianoTeq on it. It's ideal using an iPad ...

Vector Joystick no longer working
Does anyone know how to fix this?
My VJS no longer sends out MIDI data.
Is there a setting I overlooked, or is this a hardware issue?
Thanks

Here you go, I just tested this idea and it worked: On the Controllers page in Global, assign CC 64 to VJS X. In program mode, disable Vector Volume control. Now your vector joystick will act like a sustain pedal. 8) EDIT: Of course this will work naturally with sounds that have a piano envelope ...

The ARP2600 also has an overdriven sound to it. I'd experiment with AL1's Drive and Low Boost on the Amp/Drive page. I'd also put the sound through one of the amp/cab sims. For both body and that vintage sound. Another fave of mine is 2 or 3 voice Unison with 0 Detune with a bit of Spread. It seems ...

I also have tracks that depend on Karma (and the control surface), so unless I retire them, I need something with Karma Afaik, the virtual pads also depend on KARMA. One of many reasons I still use my Kronos. I use it less the last few months. But that's mostly due to my Stage 2 piano chops taking ...

You don't need to go to Global Mode to assign chords to the virtual pads! Each Program can have up to 8 chords stored with it. Same for Combi mode. When I last gigged, I assigned a Combi for each cover song. Each song of course would have its own chords as needed. Even better, I triggered them using ...

Reviving this thread, should we not include a section for working DVD drives on the first page? Maybe I missed something. It's just that this subject has now become interesting for my, having to have reinstall the SSD. Maybe it is an current issue anyway as our boards are not getting any younger ...
