I use the M3M with a fantom x8. I really love it. The M3 is a great partner for it imo. And just a 5pin midi lead does the job.


The only problem with the fantom however, is that it has 128 user performance areas, whereas the m3 has 384(??)ish. So you are limited there by the fantom somewhat.

I use the module with a casio 88 key digital piano (amazing action). There is no pitch bend or ribbon on that, so I use a novation small midi controller with its pitch bend and X/Y pad.

Works a treat, plus altogether the rig weighs a fraction of what an 88key workstation would.
