My thought on this is why not update the firmware from a file on a USB stick/drive and bypass the WIndows/MAC operating system?

People were asking about it at Superbooth. The Korg reps who were there mentioned it was coming later this year. Since this information was second hand I do not know how reliable it is. When I heard about it, I decided to give up my search for a used Wavestation / Wavestation EX.

I decided to buy a Wavestation SR off Reverb.com because I missed the original Wavestation sounds so much. The Wavestate with the joystick is the controller. So now this isn't an issue anymore.
