Midi is just control data. It isn't an audio signal. You need to connect your virus outs to your line ins on your kp3, and make sure the switch on the back of the kp3 is set to "direct". Japenese line voltage is 100V, UK voltage is 240V. You just plugged a 100V adapter into a 240V outlet. Most likely, you just f***ed your Japanese adapter.
