errm, using the MPC as a master is exactly what I'm trying to do - that is why I want a midi thru - a thru wouldn't even use the KP3s clock I use an MPC1000 for gigging and never have enough midi outputs, so units with thrus are crucial for me... my nord micro also doesn't have it What unnerves me ...

the funny thing is I spoke to Korg UKsupport on the phone 6 months ago and they said it should work and that my unit must be faulty. So I sent it to them for repair - they replaced the whole guts of it and then this week they tell me that midi thru is not implemented the terms ass and elbow spring ...

Can the KP3 work as midi thru unit or not?
Mine doesn't but some people claim it should. Korg just told me it doesn't work. Can we get a consensus on this? I want to set my KP3 to EXT and slave it to (for example) an AKai MPC outputting midi clock. I want the KP3 to slave to this clock and then ouput it to (say) an electribe. I do this all ...

as a practical measure i find having a black machine with black buttons quite stylish but very stupid in a performance situation. I would like it if ALL buttons were very dimly lit at all times so they can be seen - often I am really guessing where the mute and pad motion buttons are in the dark ...

that syncing feeling - does your kp3 output midi clock?
if I slave a kp2 or nord micromodular to my kp3 they do not recieve the clock from the KP3. They will accept a clock from my akai MPC but not from the KP3. However I set up the KP3 - as master or slave - it will not output clock. does yours? as my KP3 refuses to work with the editor on any windoes ...

resampling
Hi
I want to record my pad movements as I record my sample
if I hit shift and sampling it does this - but it also records the other loops that are playing back.
is it possible to only record the input and pad movements without resampling the other loops?
Richard
