Run a MIDI cable from the OUT of the KP-2 into the IN of the EMX. Then, set the MIDI clock on the EMX to EXT. Finally, put the clock of the Kaoss to INT or AUTO. An I/O interface or a sound card with 1/4" in. Or a snazzy one with XLR in and phantom power. But those are rare. I'd suggest a mixer. You can either get a Behringer 20$ I/O off ebay.
