No, it's low note priority legato only. You can setup a momentary switch to manually re-trigger the envs while playing, but if you're looking to do this with midi/daw you need to use note offs. On a related note, if you want a note retriggered LFO you can use ENV1 as an LFO by plugging it into ...

radioshack or any music store. they're just short 1/8" mono cables.

alternatively, you could step it up a notch and get something like this:

..nothing wrong with using the headphone out, its just slightly louder and you have a volume knob right there to tame it if u need to. as for connecting - you would be best off getting something like this: http://www.zzounds.com/item--HOSCMP3 ..having an adapter sticking out of the panel is asking ...

that (old) trick mentioned by steve isn't reliable.. you can get close with it, but its still not perfectly in tune. like bob mentioned you need to connect the gate from the x0xb0x to the ms20 trig in. ms20's trigs are s-trig though, so it still might not work as expected. in that case, send the ...

not disagreeing with re-member, but in addition/to answer your original question about mono/stereo - yes, you should get a mono cable for the sig out jack, if you carefully halfway insert a stereo cable you should hear output.

hrmn.. if you do that you lose the ability to use your mod wheel to 'total'. that is... unless you have a mixer or piggy back cable so you can assign 2 inputs to the total. like one of these: http://www.analoguehaven.com/tiptopaudio/stackcable/ (or you could just use the freq mod knob directly ...

Re: switch vibrato

hey guys i copied a patch setting from the manual for wheel controlled vibrato, which is cool but i would like to assign it to the momentary switch and use the wheel for pitch. when i simply changed the patch so that the switch is the source, i get vibrato normally and it stops when i press the ...

The MS-20 has the ESP which can convert audio freq to cv values (surprisingly precise) as well as an envelope follower, which can then be patched to the VCOs. The MS-10 does not have this, so you can't control pitch in the same fashion as you can with a MS-20.

If you guys are expecting an ms-20 to be as cool as the ds-10 you'll be dissatisfied. No AM, FM, sync, or osc2 sampled noise on the 20. Even though the 20 has more jacks I'd actually say it has less patching ability than the ds because you have to build things like the s&h circuit where the 10 has ...

EMX. I don't really think that the 'analogness' of the mono' series is a defining feature. The sound from comparable digital units is still superb. Not defining except the fact that the MS20 filter and analogue signal path is the complete reason why Korg releases the Mono* series in the first place ...
