Korg actually has an official file you can download from their website now. Load it from an external memory card and it will wipe out all the sample memory to a clean state.

I was thinking of selling my e2 and getting the es2. The only thing that concerns me is the sample management. Wouldn't it be best for there to be a central sample folder and then when using a sample in a pattern and saving that pattern, the es2 creates an .all file with that patterns name. This ...

For the record, I'm keeping my black one. It's become quite a sexy beast.

Wow. Just wow. THANK YOU KORG!!!! I've been out of the loop for a week now... this is absolutely amazing. You can now chain patterns to get it functioning almost exactly like the MC-505's "Song Mode" I have (which has been collecting dust since I bought the ES2, btw). So to all you people bashing ...

Yes, you can do this. The issue then becomes the poor amount of sampling time. I've been using the ES2 a lot lately and a really great workaround is keeping a large memory card in the unit and saving your work as a "Project File" for each song you are working on. Using this method, you can dedicate ...

Every single one of the Volcas produces low level background noise. It's expected of low-cost hardware, but for the record, they actually all sound much quieter than any of the vintage gear I own. I just use noise reduction and a touch of reverb during the mastering process and it all just vanishes ...

The ES2 comes with preset samples that actually take up a good chunk of the RAM space, so the best thing to do is wipe them out completely and start from scratch. There's another thread somewhere on this website which you can load to wipe out all of them in one process, but I can't seem to find it ...

Finally people are starting to see what utter cunts korg are! What do they hope to achieve by alienating their user base? Strange! How is Korg alienating their user base? If I remember correctly, someone here actually bricked their unit trying to do the OS swap thing. To me, it seems that the whole ...

So is someone actually submitting this info directly to someone involved with the production of these machines? Korg doesn't moderate these forums, so posting something like this here is kind of like farting in the wind.

The sampling time is only limited to 270 seconds if you are sampling directly from the hardware itself. You can actually increase the time by loading in samples with a lower rate from an external memory card. For example, 270 seconds is for the highest quality 16-bit 44,100 mono sample, but you can ...

Minilouge System Update 1.11

Just letting people know that Korg has been releasing some system updates this past week. The latest updates actually help tighten up that "click" sound you hear on the attack of each note.

You can find the current one on this page:

Looks great. Sort of reminds me of the MS-2000 with the metal front panel and wood added. It seems a little strange seeing the wood on the back instead of the sides though. But eh, for $499 that's one hell of a deal. Keep in mind the MS-2000 retailed for more than double that price and only had four ...

The Roland Boutiques are almost exactly the same size as an original TB-303, so if they did do a Boutique 303, they could make it look like a exact replica in both layout and size. The only reason I passed on the Aira series was because the neon color scheme wasn't aesthetically pleasing.

I own all four Volcas and the Keys version is indeed the noisiest of the whole batch. This is normal though and caused by the analog delay. Even though you can set the delay mix to zero, it's still part of the audio signal chain and causes the hiss.
