Re: Transpose value keeps resetting to -7 after power down.

When I first switch on Korg Kronos Workstation, the Transpose is set to -7, so I go into Global and reset Transpose to 0. But when I switch off and then power back on, the transpose has reverted to -7 again. Any help would be very much appreciated yes, pretty simple. make sure after the change, you ...

The Nautilus AT might be a viable replacement for the Kronos, unless extensive use of the control surface is required. Backups made on the Kronos should at least load onto the Nautilus, though KARMA functionality would not be replicated by the Nautilus AT, since it only has arpeggiators ...

Sorry maybe I was not clear enough in my post. I have 2 to 3 Kronos sets. I like some sounds from each set. I want to copy some sounds from each separate set into a master set for me. What is the best way going about doing this? Okay, in addition to what I have suggested above, here’s another s ...

If I understand your question correctly, I would start by saving BOTH set lists that have the sounds you want to use to an available empty set list slot. After that start making edits by rearranging and cutting. Be sure to save your new set list before shutting down.

That is definitely strange, I’ve never seen anything like that before. Continue to do regular backups just in case things get worse. You may need to see a technician to solve your issue. Sorry 😬

OK so in that case you only need to add the PRELOAD.KSC file located in the FACTORY directory on the SSD. KK, you were correct. The EXi’s were there, but not really easy to find, I had to click around for a while. The original error message was “please reinstall system software” After doing that the ...

If the tech did a good job, all stock files should still be on the SSD. You need to add them using the Add KSC button and then navigate on the SSD to find all the files you want available after boot-up. If you previously had additional libraries from Korg or third parties or custom made, you will ...

Missing EX Files?

My Kronos2 crashed about a month ago. Good news though, the repair guy brought it back to life today. He reloaded data from the disks and it reverted back to 2014 factory settings (I think) I am concerned that I don’t see ANY EXi libraries in the auto load section. Are they hidden somewhere or am I s ...

Unfortunately, that’s not good news. Do you have the latest firmware version installed? If it boots up again you might check that, it might help. I used to see that occasionally, but less error messages after installing new firmware. Good luck

That’s funny, but NOT. One of mine is in for repair right now, this is kind of scary stuff. Parts not available??

This is very disturbing and I’m so sorry. This post caught my attention because at this very moment my 9 year old Kronos is in the shop for failing to boot. I hope I’m not facing the same situation with mine.

Kronos 2-61 Data To LS?

I’m working on a back up plan while my Kronos 2 is in the shop for repairs. Can I load my backup “save all” into the LS model?

There's a bunch of things that can cause the issue you're experiencing. Reseating the RAM and ribbon cables/internal USB connectors won't hurt, but it may very well be something else. There's heaps of advice on the forums here about what to check and some troubleshooting guides. Sorry to hear you ...

I just had a gig tonight and my K crashed. Tried re-booting a couple times but it failed. It was in direct sunlight for about 90 minutes before things went bad, prior to that it was working perfectly. After having it home for about 5 hours I thought I’d try again just in case it was heat related. ...

I would occasionally get that error message too. I started using a UPS back in 2015 and it seemed to help. I haven’t had to open it up and do anything, but be sure you’re up to date on the latest OS and subsystem revisions. My UPS was less than $100 USD. It might be worth getting one to see if it eli ...
