IMHO, Your problem lies in the MIDI architecture itself: there are basically three different types of regular MIDI messages: 1) note 2) continuous control [CC] 3) Program Change [PC] Each of these three can send their own parameters. For "note", this would be: note on note number (0-128, referring ...

Did you doublecheck the polarity?

The minus has to be inside, the plus outside...

I never tried mine with an adaptor, since I only use it in conjunction with my MacBook Pro...

Hello mr. VJ! ;-)

It seems that you might want to calibrate your pK as suggested in the Sticky thread on top of this section of the board!

Using Impulse with the pK

in order to make Impulse work with the pK, you can do two things: 1. either edit your pK scene to reflect the notes C4 - D5 diatonically 2. or insert the "Scale" - MIDI effect on the desired channel and set it up in a way that the incoming notes C2, C#2, D2 etc.. become C3, D3, E3 etc. look at this ...

Thanks, flycycle for your small hack ... :-) very humbly put, in my opinion! :-) How did you get started on the whole hack? The GUI thing isn't all that important actually, but it would make the hidden features of the padKontrol available to many musicians who get scared shitless when they have to ...

Bugs in 1.2.1?

Is it just me, or is it a common bug that after running farmpad for a while, pressing a pad or switch activates, deactivates and/or flashes all other switches / pads randomly???#-o It seems as if a pad has many different stages - first press: invert all pads'n'switches' state, second press ...

If only we could access the config files visually like the editor software should work for the PK. That's what I'm working on. I just have to wrap my head around object-based programming yet... making a gui is no problem, creating the functionality is something different... ;-) But, a graphical ...

GUI

I'm just fiddling aroud with REALbasic to make a "real basic" interface - just to get to know how that works. I'm planning on making a very much more sophisticated editor, but my programming skills are not worthy enough to be called skills.... ;-) but, here is a screenshot of my first try: http ...

farmpad 1.2.1 - sub-scenes, display control

Not sure what you mean by 'address the display by midi'? I was thinking along this line: send a midi message from your DAW to the pad that will change the display - e.g. to reflect different parts of a song or so... not sure whether this clears it up... ;-) one could specify in a config file, which ...

Re: sub-scenes

2. Shift-functions / sub-scenes -I was playing excessively with doc holiday's step sequencer and need more steps. Would it be possible to make a function that combines the functionality of groups and scenes - e.g. when I hold (or toggle) a predefined switch, the pads section (or any predefined ...
