I installed the RADIAS Editor 2.0.1 and the 1.0.8.R8 USB Driver Updates from the KORG Japan web page, but it did not fix the Problem. Still neither the RADIAS editor nor any music application works with the RADIAS currently on my MAC with OS X 10.6.2.

I also noticed yesterday that the Radias USB connection does not work anymore on Mac OS X Snow Leopard. When the Radias editor or any music application (Logic Pro 9, Ableton Live 8, Steinberg Cubase 5, NI Kore 2) starts, the USB connection to the radias turns down completely. Even the LEDs in the ...

The M3 comes with a nice editor, too. And it also works as a VST or AU plugin. ;-) When you install the EXB-Radias the M3 editor also supports the expansion module. Check out programs and combis in banks I-F. The programs should display a radias logo ont the right beneath the filter section on the ...

For those that did it, did you only have to do it once (though the instructions say you had to do it twice)? I tried to do it twice and it said the update wasn't needed... -Mc No, my M3 also said that it did not need the second update. I think if you need it or not depends on the version you are ...

The manual installation of the OS X 10.5.7 combo update did not resolve the problem. I also repaired permissions before and after the Update and checked the disks. The current state is that the M3 now shows up again in the MIDI setup and is also declared as active. The M3 Editor shows the orange M3 ...

Yes, everything was fine with 10.5.6. The problem definitely correlates with the 10.5.7 OS X Update. And yes, the problem is most likely not at all or at least not only a fault of KORG, because there are reports of problems with other USB hardware/drivers (usually external harddrives) in the apple ...

I can confirm that problem. Updated OS X to 10.5.7 during last week and tried to used the M3 the first time since then today. The M3 Editor does not find the M3 on USB anymore. The Editor still displays the USB Midi option (I also have the FW interface installed and that still works, but as everyone ...

Hi daveocean, it's the other way around: I' am not new to the M3 (it's almost one year old now) but new to the MAC. I know the windows procedure and already wondered if the same procedure might be necessary on the MAC. I'll have to dig out the manual again and have a look for the MAC install ...

Thank's for the tips. I already tried both of them, but only with temporary effect. Seems that the USB-driver always gets inactive as soon as possible. Maybe I'll try some more cables, but I think I have to find out why the device is in the MIDI setup, but deactivated (if that greyed out display ...

M3 Editor does not recognize M3 on USB

I am trying to get the M3 Editor 2.1.0 and the KORG USB Midi Driver 1.0.8 to work with my new Mac Pro. I connected the M3 via an USB Hub first (and would like to do it again later), but currently I can not get it to work, even when the M3 is directly connected to the Mac. I always get a new M3 ...

That's not a 'problem' it's a 'feature'.
You have to execute the update twice. The first one updates the OS, the second adds the new preset data. And that information can be found in the HowToUpdate document included in the download archive ...

To be more correct I should have written 'Since Cubase 4 ...'
Cubase SX3 or earlier versions are obviously not able to route group track output to audio track input.

With Cubase 4 it is also possible to redirect and record all M3 FW outputs simultaneously via intermediate group tracks: Activate the desired M3 plugin outputs in the VST rack (Click the icon between the 'e' and the plugin name). Create group tracks, e.g. a stereo one for main L/R and 4 mono for ...
