Wow You love to make up things.... Where did I imply a PA50 is equal in any way to an Oasys? Really!!! The real issue are the hothead "know it all types" who feel the need to "educate" through intimidation and innuendo even if they have to create an argument using extreme examples and put those ...

There you go again misinterpreting and putting words in my mouth to make you point more credible. Where did I say a W/S was " a bad synth or not worth its money" Those are YOUR words. Not mine. My point was and is. The line between the Pa2x and W/S is very thin and in many cases the Arranger ...

I have an open mind. tell what they can do....especially the part that a DAW cannot do. The only thing I think a workstation does in extreme is voice construction using Oscillators and ADSR. That is something I don't need to do since Arrangers already have the generic voice quality that is the Holy ...

best so i agree with you, yeah PA50 can do A LOT more then OASYS. Now there's a stretch that attempts to illustrate your point in a rather extreme way..... Funny, I don't remember bringing the PA50 into the fold. But to make your point seem more credible I suppose you have to make such a ridiculous ...

Re: Work Station...Arranger?

I think the Pa2X has a sequencer or two. It has sampling as well.(52 minutes of mono) Combos via layering. I don't see a whole lot of differances. I had a Triton WS and do not find it more featured than the Pa2x. The PA does what the Triton did and more actually. No bro, it doesnt work like that ...

Re: Work Station...Arranger?

What would be the key thing a "work station" can do a PA2x could not do? 1.Sequencing 2.Sampling 3. Arps 4. Combinations of Sounds 5. Advances Sound Editing 6. Many more. I think the Pa2X has a sequencer or two. It has sampling as well.(52 minutes of mono) Combos via layering. I don't see a whole ...

256MB is 26 minutes sampling time at 16 bit 44k in STEREO. Thats a lot.
10MB per minute. MOno even more.

If the Korg will sample in MP3 format you can get much more

I only use DAW for sequencing. I first sequenced on an ESQ 1 Then on a Triton and decided no keyboard sequencer is as good as a notebook computer screen and some great SW like Cakewalk,Cubase ... I bought an Arranger to use specific arranger parts in my sequences rather then record the whole style ...

Work Station...Arranger?

What do you guys consider a workstation? A synth without an arranger? I consider a workstation any keyboard where you can play and/or record at least 16 tracks of individual sounds to an external DAW. The Arranger funtion is in ADDITION to the Workstation functions. What would be the key thing a ...

From what I have seen and read its more of a workstation in terms of using an external DAW and sequencer then either the Yamaha or Roland. Thats why I chose it. I will be using it in that manner,

If the Korg uses normally closed polarity you can buy a Yamaha FC-3 for almost half of what the Korg pedal costs,

EDIT: But alas the Korg uses a normally OPEN pedal switch..........

A more sensitive and/or higher gain non powered mike are those with Neodymium magnets. Shure has them in the Beta series, Electro Voices are less money and just as good. The budget mike that sounds very good is the Samson Q7. The Samson Q5 is an excellent hand help condenser for the money as well.
