Excellent! Here's what I've got. Oasys midi into a Motu Fastlane, in and out, coming into a Power Mac G5 thru a USB cable from the Fast Lane. I have DP 6 with two 896mk3's. I can go to any patch on the Oasys, play a few notes and they begin to stick on, and if they don't stick on right away, notes ...

Thanks for your reply. I have local control off. The problem isn't just with the piano, but all the patches. Detailing the piano, what happens is no matter if I'm playing slow or fast, notes that I don't play will sound randomly, and inevitably notes will stick on and soon the entire timbre of the ...

Midi stuck notes using Digital Performer with Oasys
Hi, I am trying for the first time to record piano tracks using midi to Digital Performer. All set up seems to be fine, but every time the piano is played, extra random midi notes sound, and mostly, notes stick and do not stop until I stop them from DP. We think it must be something in the Oasys ...

Clock battery replace. Help!
Hi, I think I screwed up. My Korg Oasys has been prompting me that my clock battery was low. I couldn't find info on how to change it, kept using it and the keyboard just shut down. Does this mean I've lost all the sequences I put in it? Wow. Bummer. Anyway, if you could, please send me a link to ...

Dan, thanks very much for your reply. Maybe I'm just not technically brained enough, but I really struggle finding the answers to my questions in the manuals and on the help screens. I see you work for Korg. Can you tell me, are there some comprehensive sources I can find to teach me how to really ...

KORG Oasys basic recording - quick question
Hi, and thanks in advance. I'm trying to assign a mic input to it's own dedicated output to send to a hard disk recording set up. I cannot figure out how to assign things to channels 1-8. Right now, all I can do is use L/R outputs. I have an eight channel snake running from the Oasys outputs to the ...

Thanks
Hey, guys, all good replies and thanks for your time. Experiment time--will give the stereo PA a try. I'm relieved to find that it's your opinion the mono sound is as bad as I think it sounds.

Most bands have a PA system that is set up in mono, as is ours. There is no way to keep the Oasys in Stereo without changing out our PA System. Also, stereo PA's are tricky because anyone on one side of the room or the other will not hear the sound coming from the opposite speaker. As to the quality ...

Oasys does not sound as good live in mono. Why?
Hi, What is the best way to accurately reproduce live what I hear under headphones? If I take an output from left (mono) and run it through the PA, or through a keyboard amp, it just sounds so mortal, so hollow and cheap. Are there settings I need to adjust? Even if I run it through a mixer and ...

Instruction, classes, or clinic wanted on Oasys
Does anyone know if there is a person or group that give classes or teach how to use the Oasys? This old dog works better hands-on than trying to pull the needed info out of the manuals. I am willing to travel to the site of the learning. Thanks very much.
