Is the noise coming from a sample or is it a constant noise? If so you might want to check each sample for the noise or check the grounding with the computer and the electribes.

It depends on which MPC you want. There is alot of pro's and con's to both esx and MPC.

Recording into a mp3 player is going to sound like crap. Get a audio interface. Record it onto your computer using balanced 1/4 cords. Then put it onto your mp3 player.

Found out that using balanced 1/4 outs make the ESX sound even better. Gets rid of some of the "noise" when its not playing.

I like the look and feel of the silver knobs on my ESX. I dont think i will change them. Knobs are not a big issue for me. Tubes are.

You have to change the octave. You have it at the lowest octave so it makes that funny noise.
