Nice one Mike. Particularly like the Vocoder choir pads - very realistic. I also wasn't aware of the additional "expression" features of the exs3 sounds.

I think I've answered my own question. Thought I had it: convert the wav to 48kHz in disk mode. But it's still stereo and apparently it's got to be a mono wav file (even if the audio tracks are paired, oddly). So the answer is - you can't! I think.
