Had the same exact issue with mine. Didn't notice it unless listening through headphones or had volume pretty high. After having it occur on several SV1s I finally gave up and returned my third one while still under the return period. I now have a Roland which I am much happier with. Doesn't have ...

Used the XLR outs on the SV into the XLR ins on the Apollo. Still use the Apollo Twin. Great unit.

@ Geovicsha: thanks, I used the xlr outs of the SV1 directly into my audio interface, an Apollo Twin. It has a really nice preamp built in which gave it some nice character.

I had a similar problem with mine. Recently recorded an album of solo piano music with the SV and when listening back to tracks heard an odd distortion / hiss that would echo each note I played. Its subtle. Only heard through headphones with volume up. But loud enough for me to hear it. I used no on ...

The lights on the SV don't actually flash. This is a common occurrence that happens when shooting video. Has something to do with the frame rate. It gives the illusion of the flickering lights. You may encounter a random flickering of a light here and there though. Never been able to figure it out ...

That's a disappointment, regarding the SP280 keybed. I've not tried it yet. I too had numerous problems with the RH3 and after 3 SV1's finally gave up. Gotta admit though, I still got the SV fever! I've tried other boards as an alternative, but nothing gives me the immediate inspiration like ...

I can relate to your MIDI woes! I had similar issues with MIDI when I struggled with owning THREE SV-1s!!! Thought switching them out would solve the problem, but it didn't. Notes would freak out randomly, and sometimes the keyboard would just freeze up. Another annoying issue was that the RX noises ...

You need an external speaker source of some kind for the SV-1. There are none built in. Have you considered the new SP-280? It has many similarities to the SV-1 sound wise, and has built in speakers. Kinda looks like the SV as well.

My rebate experience was a nightmare. I purchased my SV the first week of Nov. last year. Got my rebate finally this March. That's 4 MONTHS! I was told after 2 months that there was no record of my initial rebate. Sent in another one, certified mail, in January. Was then told it would be treated as ...

You just tap it 4 times at the tempo you want the delay to be heard. The light should then blink the tempo you tapped (approximately).

Thanks for the reply. I'm not much of a gigging musician anymore (maybe 20 years ago!). Nowadays the SV does'nt really leave my home studio. It's mainly used for composing/recording. I'm moving in a few months and just want something to keep it safe in the back of my car whilst driving about 1200 ...

Good cheap bag that fits the SV-1 73?

This has probably been discussed before. If so I apologize. Anyone know of a cheap ($50 range) padded bag that works well with the 73 key SV-1? I've read that the "official" bag is'nt really worth the money, and unless you have the optional stand it's pretty flimsy. When packed in the case, the ...

Thanks very much for the kind words. I think it was one of the first E.P's from Soundpack 2, possibly 1. Standard EP or 3. Rockin' E.P? I recorded the track a while back. I'm sure I tweaked the E.Q to a darker tone. Also a slow tremolo and just a bit of drive, most likely amp 1. I actually started ...

Thanks for the link. Do you mean the demos that come up when you click the speaker icon, third one down on the left? Yes, I saw those demos already. I think those are the original demos though, not the Soundpack 2 demos. The demo page for Soundpack 2 had a brief description of the artist who ...

Soundpack 2 demos M.I.A.?

I was working on some custom sound sets and went to Korgs site to hear the demos for Soundpack 2. I've heard them before. Been integrating Soundpack 2 sounds since they were released. but it's a nice reference to see what other sounds I might be interested in. I may be wrong, but they are nowhere to ...
