EMX with Akai MPDs

I am thinking about purchasing an MPD for a drum controller for my EMX. Just wondering if anyone has any experience with these two together? Would there be any compatibility issues for the Akai pads controlling the Korg drum parts? I mostly want it for composition and live improv.

well, it totally depends what effects you would be doing with it... I can't imagine it being particularly useful, unless there was two of you in the band.. even still how many sweeps/etc does anyone need?

you can use es2wav to get your wav files off your smart media and then transfer them onto your esx. As for the whole songs... not sure.

It's done by modulating the center point on a lowpass filter with resonance, from low to high, with an LFO for the sustained vibrato wobble or an envelope for an initial wobble.
