well, i took it down to the store and the guy said that someone has walked past tripped (most probably) on the power cord forcing the to "yank". This in turn broke the metal on the inside of the power input cause it to break off and disappear. $80 AUS to fix. Now its gone, for a week, im heartbroken ...

I have that happen to me too, i will have a look at it, but you can record on a standard macbook pro, just by plugging in, i have done it before.
