Very impressed with X5DR
Needed to get a cheap, small MIDI module to attach to the underneath of my daughter's Technics KN6500 arranger to give her some 'better sounds' ! (the KN6500 has audio inputs for external modules). I had a look at what I've got lying around gathering dust - a TX7 and a K1m, neither of which ...

I think they chose M3 because it's so beautiful with its white body and wood panel on sides. It did look quite classy - but I think it was probably just one of the orchestra's keyboards set aside for Mr Bean's performance. Clearly he was miming and the sound was coming from somewhere else. However ...

Okay, so the BBC have moved it to here now! I guess this is where they'll leave it. Can you view this overseas? Much of their content is UK only.

Re: Do you still use vsts synths? and why?
What exactly do you mean by pumped through OZONE? I mean I know it means you use it to process your sounds (effects), but how exactly are you using it? Hi - I guess when I said 'ALL' and 'PUMPED' through Ozone, this is an exaggeration. In truth, I probably only route a few VST's through Izotope ...

Re: Do you still use vsts synths? and why?
I have really been digging into the EXB Radias. I honestly can't image using a vst synth (Not romprers). It just do not make any sense to me. There is nothing you can not create with this thing. So my question is for those who still does. Why? Maybe I am not seeing something. Hell yes ! :D In fact ...

Hi,
I haven't used my M3 for a very long time now, but I think you also have to convert your Cue List to a 'Song', otherwise you'll still get the gaps between each 'block'.
(Check page 102 of the manual found here : http://www.korg.co.uk/downloads/m3/docs/M3_OpG_E.pdf )

If I didn't already have an M3 (with Radias module), then the Kronos would be sat here now! It is a great workstation - arguably the best - but as others have said, in many ways the Kronos is too similar to the M3. Much the same way that a 5 series Beemer is similar to a 3 series Beemer! Both are ...

Will my vst's still work in 20 years time? Let's discuss!!
What equipment do I still use today which I owned 20+ years ago?... TV?, Microwave?, Computer?, Phone?, Car? Certainly not... but synths? - absolutely! As many of us - myself included - make the switch from hardware to software-synths, the concern whether computer hardware and operating systems in ...

Re: What's the reason you DIDN'T buy a Kronos?
...I'm just curious to know if anyone has made up their mind and decided they'll not be buying the Kronos, and if not, why not? ... Quoting myself! Anyway since I originally asked this question, I came very close to buying one in late 2011 as a replacement for my excellent M3. The Kronos is a great ...
