Mine was 1.0.1 when I got it. I first did the upgrade to 1.0.3 and then the calibration (several times, as I was not really happy with the precision). I have read your post before doing the calibration and decided to first do the upgrade and then calibrate - this might be the key for not having a ...

I suppose it depends on the model - mine (M50-88 keys) has a label "MADE IN JAPAN", but I have seen over internet a label from M50-61 keys and the text there was "MADE IN CHINA". This might partially explain why it was so hard to find the 88 keys version so I had to wait 3 weeks in order to get one ...

I'm a total synth newbie (being mainly a guitar player) so I'm comparing the factory presets. Maybe if I get into sound design as you suggest and learn how to program my own sounds I would be able to get what I need from M50, but as I am quite busy and don't have the time to delve into this I will ...

If you don't mind getting it with user manual in german (I had to print the english one as my german language knowledge is not really good at the moment), you could get one from www.musicstore.de or www.thomann.de I've ordered mine (M50 - 88 ) from musicstore and it arrived two days ago. According ...

It is finally here
My M50 88 keys is finally here :D It was a long wait - I ordered it on 10 of October, the store got it on 22nd and sent it via UPS the same day and I got it this morning (30 of October). The 61 keys version was available in both stores I checked, but the 88 keys was problematic - a sales person from ...

Thanks Jerry. So the EDS provides only samples playback, nothing like virtual analog? If I am happy with M50 I would probably upgrade at some point in time to the successor of M3 (I am going to wait for a newer product with pads that are not sticking and buttons with solid text that would not wear ...

M50 - does it have sounds similar to microKORG
Still waiting for my M50 (88 keys seems to be a bit hard to find at the moment) to arrive and in the meantime I am thinking whether I should keep my microKORG. There are some sounds I really like (for example A15), but if M50 has similar or better sounds (analog synth like) there is no point in ...
