I'm with Axxim on this too lol

I usually have Ableton and the R3 editor running simultaneously and it allows me to send notes to the R3 whilst tweaking parameters on the editor.

I'd say a Roland SP404 (or the newer sx model) is what your after. I would have recommened an MPC500 but all its extra editing/sequencing features would be overkill for the things you want to do

very nice X Trade :D Im in the same boat as you, most of my songs/mixes have been for coursework the past 2 years. I do miss working on a track to all hours of the night (or should I say morning) and hearing the birds come out. I really liked the pad sounds through out, especially the swelling pad ...

I gotta say tpantano I downloaded ur attempt at the string patch and it was great!

I loved how smooth it was, a very emotional sound!

I was messing around with the cutoff, reso, analogue tuning etc and was getting some nice fizzly pad sounds aswell.

Keep it up!

Dont forget to check and see if it has phantom power (+48v) incase you need to record with a Condensor Mic and the mic doesnt take a 9v battery

Not really a wishlist for the R3s firmware or anything.....but a bloody custom fit gig bag would be awesome, kinda similar to the Gator ones for the Microkorg and XL lol...the Nord ones which fit are hard to find and some of the Guitar pedals cases arent padded enough. Patching velocity to ...

If this sounds rude then my apologies lol....did you plug the axiom in? When using with logic it will draw its power from USB, but when using standalone as a midi keyboard then it will probably need a power supply. If there are no lights etc on the axiom then this is maybe the case Check the manual ...

I use a pair of Audio Technica ATH M50's. I honestly cant say enough good things about them. Minimal bleed, comfortable, great build quality and they sound great too.

I paid £100 for mine so although they arent cheap, they will sound great with you Microkorg!

Did you get this sorted dude? To record into Ableton, first of all go to your preferences, (ctrl + ,) if your on PC. Then make sure your audio inputs and outputs are set to the Fast track. Next, create a new track, (ctrl + T) if your on PC, then make sure the I/O switch is selected and on the audio ...

Which kind of speakers would you like to connect to? If it was a pair of Powered Studio Monitors (e.g KRK Rokits), then you could connect them using two 1/4 inch jack cables. If you are definately going to add a Micron to your setup then I would advise to get a small Mixer, unless you want to run ...

I'm not a Radias owner but I use the MPC2500 with my R3, MS2000br etc. *EDIT* I forgot to mention that I obviously only sequence the 2 timbres in 1 program at a time*EDIT* To control 2 timbres on my R3, I usually send the midi info on different channels. So it would be Midi out A on the MPC to R3 ...

Its quite a dissapointing upgrade. As others have said, an updated sound engine, more polyphony (ie not monophonic) and USB with an Editor would have been nice. Not to mention proper ADSRs. I was gonna upgrade to an EMX from my EA/ER mkII's, glad I didnt buy until now. Im still a little hesitant on ...

Really nice sound dude!

I took it down an octave and it was quite nice for playing chords.

Then I turned off the effects and played it 2/3 octaves down and
got a nice bass sound from it (sine tone like)

:D

in short: Fun, loud and over too soon :p Story of my life  .........Haha nah just kidding I think the lack of Clarity in small club systems wouldn't do the sound the justice it deserved, but at least you got your music out there, and if I was there I would have defo enjoyed it :D What does ...
