Oh, and one other quick note here... I've downloaded the Oasys manuals and read through the sequencer sections. From what I can see there is very little difference to the M3 sequencer/editor.... (minus the piano roll editor as stated in the last post above). You might consider reading through the ...

At the release there will not be a 'piano roll editor' available in the sequencer. See this thread for details: http://www.korgforums.com/forum/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=58406 Richard cannot disclose at this point whether or not Korg will implement this feature in future software upgrades. If this ...

Thanks for your reply Richard. The piano roll editor is a very powerful editing tool, I use it whenever I'm tweaking compositions. I think I'd go mildly insane to have to adjust an entire tracks volume one individual velocity number at a time, versus drawing a stylus across the velocity indicators ...

Thanks for your reply Dave. I should answer a couple of those points that your brought up....they are actually quite relevant to how I teach. 1) In order to reduce the cost to my students I don't employ a human accompanist. Instead I record myself playing the accompaniment, and then the voice line ...

PA588 Notation display

After checking the manuals I've found that the pa588 can display song lyrics. Can the pa588 display notation (Score) as well? Several posts in this Forum Thread seem to indicate that a software update has enabled a Score View function. Unfortunately I can't tell if the information relates to the ...

I'm using a pair of Fostex PM0.4 Monitors. I've mounted them directly to the legs of the keyboard stand to facilitate portability. The Fostex PM0.4 monitors are self powered with 18W available in the Low Frequency and another 18 W available for the High Frequency. Good sound across the frequency ...

I have the M3-88 in my vocal studio. The keybed has a fantastic feel and a lovely responsive action. Overall there is very little difference between playing on the M3 and playing on an acoustic piano. (Aside from the massive variety of sounds in the M3......). The M3-88 keybed does not have ...

Audio sample playback

Now that I know audio can be sampled into the M3 while the M3 is playing a midi file out through a set of monitors, can anyone let me know how quickly the newly recorded audio can be played back? This is so I can point out vocal issues to a student right away. I don't need detailed instructions ...

Thanks Kimu You've clarified something for me. Initially when reading through the manuals I was looking for references to audio recording, not sampling. I didn't equate sampling with the functionality that it apparently has. Thanks for information. You mention that the playback, while recording a ...

I've just finished reading the manuals that are a part of the update download. From the M3XP_SupplG_E.pdf; (In reference to Track Editing within the sequencer) "...By dragging in the display with your finger or a stylus, you can specify a region of measures or move, copy, or delete data. This allows a ...

Audio Recording question

Hello all. I'm a vocal coach and I'm examining the M3 for use in my teaching studio. As such I have some questions that I haven't been able to find answers for through the manuals or other online resources. 1) Can the M3 record a singer through the mic input at the same time that the M3 is playing ...
