I was talking per patch. I assume you can just fetch a block of the PCG file containing the patch. If you generate the md5 on this, you would get hashes for each patch :) EDIT: I guess some parameters are stored as references, like arpeggios. So those would obviously be harder to get correct. But I ...

Thanks. The actual change is less important than knowing that something is changed in a program. You would probably get into trouble if you include the fabric default PCG in your program for a diff. I suggest you make a md5 checksum of each of the original programs for validation against the current ...

It will overwrite everything, that's true. Make a backup of all settings on your M50 before loading my file. Then you can restore your old setup after that. I've modified both sounds and combis in the file.

Haven't been active here for a while. Here's a dump of all my sounds, including Jump and Africa. Most sounds are in area A25-A70 if I remember correct. Sometimes I use same number but different bank for same song (eg. A45 and B45).

On the FCB there is a separate channel switch output. Plug a jack cable from that into the switch socket on the M50, then you can have the FCB 1010 do the same thing the M50 would do if a separate switch pedal was plugged in (eg. patch up, or patch down)

I was thinking about making something for the M50 a while ago, but I gave up since I got no response from Korg when I asked for the format of the patches and performances. But there is a timeconsuming was to map out the format: Get hold of a hex editor (http://www.hex-editor.org/). Then you can save ...

I haven't noticed that the M50 has low output volume. I'm under the impression that the level is about the same as the other equipment I've hooked up to my mixer. In my setup I've programmed all my combis to have about the same volume as the pre programmed patches. I normally run my M50 at mid ...

Agreed.

Many great suggestions have been posted in the sticky "Suggestions for improvements/changes on M50?" thread.

Make SW1/2 control the wet/dry function. Then you can turn it on/off with the SW1/2 In my setup I'm using the controller knobs to control delay and chorus amount. For muting/adding parts, you can use the same approach with a compressor. Dry make sound, and wet no sound. Or you can edit the patches ...

I have no trouble loading the editor on my Win7 X64. I think some older versions had trouble with Win7. Is it the most recent version you're using?
