The AKAI Force looks like a great product. https://force.akaipro.com/ Kind of disappointed to see KORG released another KRONOS. I was hoping for something new. Something 64bit that can load lots of samples please. Regards Sharp. yes, this is what Korg should have done with its premium assets and ...

Re: Open-source Sound Module

Hi Everyone. I'm posting this in the latest news section with the intentions of moving it to the General Music section soon as there's some movement on this. What I'm proposing here is to build an open source sound module that is not bound by the limitations of dedicated hardware. A totally future ...

It's nonsense, in the same way as iPad synths are nonsense: no tactile interaction. Flat screens are a step back from sophisticated control. It's why nobody ever uses iPad synths; and the likes of the Push2, Circuit, BSP, Volca, .... sell like hot cakes. And from a practical stand point - when that ...

I use Gadget on SE and yes, it is hard to program (unfortunately Korg doesn't provides feasible option to program on iPad and then transfer to iPhone), but I still use Gadget for live rehearsals - and for that it is rather good once programmed as needed. The only issues limiting my Gadgat use are: 1 ...

Nice music. Regarding live, well, I have used Gadged live in a different way - somewhat as portable mobile Mainstage replacement. But I find this way too far from ideal - main problem is that within Gadget you don't have access to some very important parameters, whereas on stand alone apps/Gadgets ...

I thought aftertouch played a very important roll in the Kronos. IMO, aftertouch plays a very important part in *any* keyboard. But everybody's different. Some people probably don't use it all, ever. So I still hope they sell a lot of them. It's still a Kronos. ;) BTW, saying that it's "lacking a ...

I have been hopeful some of the big synth guys would team with Roli and have that seabird style interface and a Kronos style workstation combined. I can dream. oh, yes, but honestly i would still very much prefer separate desktop module/desktop/tablet so i can choose what type of controller i need ...

Re: Any speculation about MainStage for the iPad ?

... Geekbench favors mobile devices.... in general its save to asume that currently a high end Intel PC has about 10 times as much raw power then a mobile device... asuming that PC has enough memmory and is based on an SSD... Geekbench does not take the amount and the speed of memmory into account ...

Re: Any speculation about MainStage for the iPad ?

AFAICT there is no MainStage app for the iPad. But I would like to think there will be an effort of some variant . Is this wishful thinking ? Is the iPad hopelessly underpowered for Mainstage ? Or can something be done to ' piece ' it together Thanks ! Mainstage is just a shell around collection of ...

I myself don't see anything wrong with battery powered tablet format Kronos engine, which could be played via external controller to users preference, but if Korg made something like that this would disappoint many people who would lose ground to complain about not proper key action, keybed size ...

Just be warned. New Noise app completely destroys previous Noise app functionality and while previous version was great example how you can use 5D touch technology using any controller, new one doesn't seem usable with anything else than Blocks hardware - so DON'T UPDATE if you used old app for ...

Re: Kronos rack

I know I've exclaimed this before but I still believe Korg will release a rack version before they release a new flagship keyboard. .....The question would then be whether they want to replicate the entire Kronos user interface on the front of the rack, or have it mostly programmable via computer ...

If the do another I would love to see it keyless so I could easily integrate it into a Seaboard, grand or rise or joint board. I love the seaboard surface and interface and having a masterpiece like a Kronos built with it n mind would be great. I absolutely second this approach. With so many ...
