Wow- great release from Korg. Totally want that Triton Taktile 49 to control my Macbook rig- it's just the perfect combination of controlls and onboard sounds to mix with my Omnisphere. They knocked it out of the park- and the price is totally right.

The service manual is posted in Facebook's "Korg SV-1 Users" group in the files section (by me). Looks daunting buy patience will win.

Forget about it- you are carying an amp?? It's too heavy- don't even bother. I am not even using it due to the weight anymore live- it is purely for my home enjoyment (and looks so sexy in my home studio so I don't care- it won't get scratched there). Even the rolling case from Korg won't last if ...

Maybe go with something like the King Korg? Or a DSI Prophet (if you can stomach it, the new 12 :O ). Or go softsynth and get Omnisphere for all your synth needs.

There is a Facebook group that has sounds posted in their files section. Like the German set that Korg released from a bunch of European music stars.

Did you buy it new? IF so, send that back for warranty. Nice thing is that you know it is the valve based on that. If not under warranty, there is a detailed service manual that shows exactly how to take it apart- but honestly- I wouldn't even consider it- and you can't just swap out the valve board ...

So what kind of recording do you want to do. You and a mic and an SV-1- alone in your room- blasting out songs. Or do you want to get into multitrack recording. Why do you want to record? What are you expecting as the outcome. Lastly, how much money are you willing to commit to this?

I haven't had any issues either, but I like myself am running the original Red SV-1, so maybe there is something different there? Say Javaj, I'm In Calgary as well, with a red SV1. My friend also has one. Let's start an SV1 band? And that is not even an odd idea- Korg Europe had those 2 guys ...
