...it is not a workstation at all.🤔 I'll try this again for you. It's clear at the time of the Nautilus release Korg had nothing new to offer so they cancelled the Kronos, came out with the stripped down version of Nautilus and not a single Kronos owner was interested. Had they released the Kronos/N ...

A little hip-hop-focused groove-box(?) thing with no keyboard doesn't interest me at all. HUH?! It goes FAR beyond that. If I didn't do key splits the way I do I'd gig this thing with zero hesitation. 11 Synth Models. 5 part multitimbral (layered or split) Let’s start with the synth part consisting ...

Did you guys (and gals) see Roland's latest announcement?

Go to Youtube and check out the SH-4d.

That's what the Nautilus SHOULD have been. And at that price, I suspect Roland is going to sell a fair number.

I know you can set a custom CC to turn the arp(s) on and off, and I'd recommend that over the damper. If you go to the ARP tab you can right click on the arp on/off radio button and assign a CC value. If you open up the tabs for arp a and arp b you might be able to assign a separate CC value to each ...

I used ChickenSys Translator (for my Korg Triton) a LONG time ago and back then it did exactly as it advertised. The only reason I don't still use it as I work with .wav files almost exclusively now.

I just got done watching a couple demo videos for the Stage 4. I have to say, that thing is QUITE impressive. This may be my first Nord. That b3 sound is killer.

To those of us "little folks" not really deep in the industry, the original Kronos was a big surprise. I don't think any of us saw it coming. *IF* there was a follow up after being discontinued, I think it would be a bigger surprise. The Nautilus appears (to me) a stop gap while they prepare for ...

I am frustrated with the whole situation, as I loved my Kronos when it was working. Too many parts on the original are no longer available, and you risk going down the rabbit hole of replacing multiple parts. You and me both. Honestly, the Kronos was amazing in 2011 and I love it today (when it ...

When my Kronos died I was positive it was the power supply. It was not. It was the motherboard. I picked up mine from ebay for like $40. Since then I have picked up 2 more spares that sit in a box just in case. Korg used off the shelf PC motherboards. I believe yours is an Intel Atom D525 (mine's a ...

I've been trying to tell people that on here for years. The Akai Force and the MPC's picked up where the Kronos fell off and Akai only keeps adding more usable features to it. A buddy just replaced his Kronos in his live rig with a Force and has been selling me on the idea. I've already dedicated ...

I borrowed a buddy's laptop so I could do a bunch of testing with the TEX VST to see if I could use it almost exclusively for live gigging. One of the patches I created I have the SW1 and SW2 turning on or off individual programs in a combi as well as using sliders/knobs that control volume of ...

I would love to give these a test.

Great idea about the Nautilus editor BTW. I have a few patches I need to convert as well.

So what does that mean? That we can play the raw samples and not all the effects and layers applied resulting in a sound that is flatter than one should expect? Effects and layers are controlled by the patch settings in the Kronos. Imagine having a Kronos and all of the banks are cleared to the ...
