Hi Scott, TR76 is one of the best lightweight performing boards Korg ever made. I fully agree. Sadly, I get dropouts in my TR76 and can no longer rely on that keyboard. So sad... I replaced it with a Roland Juno DS 76 because all the new Korg devices have so bad startup times. Way to long for me ...

Thanks OpAmp. Yesterday I decided to give up my Kross and use some cheap MIDI keyboard to play the extra sounds via MIDI from my Roland Juno. Too bad, I really wanted the brilliant sounding tones from the Korg, but the GUI is too slow and complicated. Interestingly, my old Korg TR-76 had a similar ...

Combi mode, hide or re-arrange pages?
Hi, I don't use the arpeggiator, the drums, the sequencer and audio in. I use the Kross 2 just for playing sounds/instruments live. While editing combis , I always have to step through a huge number of pages I'm not interested in: C-INPUT (2 pages), C-FILTER (4 pages), C-ARP (4 pages), C-DRUM TRACK ...

Set volume for favorites?
Hi. I play in a band and use the Kross 2 as second keyboard to extend the number of "quick access" presets in a song. I placed around 15 programs and some user combis as favorites to quickly switch between song setups. Sadly, many programs and combis are not the same or adequate volume and I'm ...

After doing some more research, I limited all options to Korg Krome EX and Roland Fantom 07 . Both have longer startup time (around one Minute). Due to testing sites and user reviews both have some sort of outdated instruments and sounds because they only sound like their older parents. But maybe ...

Thanks guys. The Kurzweil SP6-7 looks interesting. The manual talks about 4 zones with variable key-zones and assigned channels. So the split and second keyboard should work. Also, the weight is fine (~8KB). But the UI looks very much like for a 90ies keyboard and is definitely outdated. But maybe I ...

Good TR76 replacement?
Hi, I play my TR76 for years and basically happy with it. Sadly, it starts to show aging and I wonder if there are good replacements. This are my criteria: Price maximum 1.700,- EUR / 1.800,- USD Suitable for live busic, including triggering a 3rd sound using external keyboard (worked fine with TR76 ...

Thanks again, Stuart. I think I will make a system backup to the SD card and then open the keyboard. Will re-plug all plugs and cables where possible and also looking for corrosion and domed capacitors. Keep fingers crossed I find something. If I find something, there is a chance to fix it. :wink ...

Thanks for your fast reply, Stuart. No, I did not yet play with headphones, as I use the TR76 in live situations only (band). But I tried other cables to the PA and it did not help. If I play the keyboard again directly after I notice a dropout, it plays again immediately. IMHO, it is not related to ...

TR76 dropouts?
Hi, I use my TR76 for many years and I'm still happy with it. Now I'm in a new live band and in the last band practice I noticed some dropouts during holding a note or chords . It feels like someone does a MIDI reset, stopping all sound immediately for a few microseconds. I did not manage to find ...
