Thanks Alland for double checking this! However, I was too anxious to wait for a response since my last post. Therefore, I actually used the midiox diagnostic sw tool which allowed me to monitor and control midi messages. Also, simulated an external midi keyboard using this software. So after ...

Connecting a midi keyboard to pa2x

Hi all, Can anybody tell me if the chord recognition modes work when playing on an external midi keyboard? If it's functional, than which mode does it respond on e.g with single finger, three finger or Expert mode? I would really appreciate, if someone out there has already an external keyboard setup ...

Great Rob, I will look into the Yamaha's foot-pedal device in detail and confirm if this is what I really want. If its OK, then I'll be tempted to purchase it ASAP.

Thanks again for your efforts!!

Regards

Hi Rob, Thanks a lot for looking further on this topic. The FC300 is rather expensive. Even if I commit in purchasing the unit, I imagine that the device was design mainly for the Roland keyboards and other Roland devices. I have a feeling that it may have some incompatibilty issues with the korg ...

Hi Rob, I'm doing fine. But thank you for asking :D I guess, what you mean is basically a kind of a midi box interface which allows you to send the correct midi commands to the pa2x containing the your pre-defined chords. The EC5 could perhaps be used as a chord selector. The selected switch of the ...

Hi Rob, I reconfirmed that the styles I thought were producing acc melody when only pressing the red (start/stop) button was incorrect. I had the memory button enable(thereby keeping the last chord I played on the keyboard). Which led me to think that the red button actually activated all acc ...

style playing with start/stop button

Hi all, I've created a style with drums on track 10 & using guitar mode I produced a strumming rhythm on acc2 track. After saving this style. I went ahead to run my creation by pressing the start/stop button in Style Play mode. I noticed that I can only hear the drums playing in a loop without the ...

What you described to me is what I exactly needed to fix this MIDI problem. I tried it out and eventually was able to remove the constant tone problem It is also nice that you don't have to go out of the way to find software on the net to solve such problems Thanks again for your help. PS Nothing is ...

Hi Rob, I tried the SHIFT+START/STOP and as you said it did remove the stuck note, thank you for that tip. Also went into the song play mode & then pressed SHIFT RECORD. But all its done was to pop up a dialogue box to allow you to record in MP3....Maybe I misunderstood something here. Therefore, I ...

Ok, thanks, at least there is a way to solve this annoying problem.

But do you think its possible to solve the problem directly on the pa2x itself without the having revert to s/w on the net?

Sustain note problem

Hi all, What I was trying to do was to play an already working MIDI song on the pa2x and to change the instrument of a certain track with another type. For example, 2 tracks are assigned to a piano. First piano plays the chords while the second piano is performing the melody side of the song.Of ...

Hi rikkisbears, This is really a great way to start experimenting using the korg's guitar mode and it s exactly what I need. So as far as drums are concerned you suggested to copy this from the factory samples. But how do you modify these drums so that it corresponds to my own rhythm/beat? (assuming ...
