I think so.

Dopamine is a set not an OS.

If you really didn't like it you could try installing OS 2.1 again or doing a factory reset then the 2.1 update.

I'm not that up on the workings, I get it to work and I'm done.

I can't remember exactly what factory came with, I'm thinking there's a lot of space left for making your own styles etc. Dopamine fills up all the spaces pretty much, so lots of styles. You don't have to go hunting for them, all right there. At least for me I found it useful. https://dopamine4korg ...

I'm using a Dopamine set so I'm used to it.

Not sure if I would loose it if I upgraded.

Anyone tried the new 2.1 update?

I have a pa600, I don't mess with sampling so not sure if it would do anything for me.

Does it change the way the screens work?

Thanks

This has to be the official 2.0 operating system since it's coming from korg?

Any advantage to having it if you don't want to edit a sample?

Thanks

I didn't say it would solve the problem, just help understand how styles are put together.

Creating styles way too hard for me.

I was looking at different ways of doing it. You can export the style as a midi file into a midi editor and modify it.

Good way to understand what all is going on in a style.

Ya, you need to be sending program change messages not CC's but most things that can do one can do the other.

Have you thought about a DAW setup, integrating the two then you would have midi capabilities too. Lot of other benefits, some use a laptop and DAW software in a live performance.

Re: Midi foot controller

if i convert the midi to usb with a straight forward conversion lead? You're talking about a cable? No, remember these are two different protocols and need on the fly conversion to link them up. They call the cheap things on ebay midi cable but it's a midi interface that's fit into a cable. Like ...

I was looking for this usb pedal I saw some time back where you can set it to anything you want, couldn't find it but there are a lot of pedals out there that could do the job. Or you could get a regular midi footswitch like the yamaha ones and run it through a Midi Solutions box that will change ...

Yea, I was just going on a post of yours where you state: I follow his advice and tested all controls. This is what I find: Program Change: CTR#64 = STS1 CTR#65 = STS2 CTR#66 = STS3 CTR#67 = STS4 CTR#80 = Intro 1 CTR#81 = Intro 2 CTR#82 = Intro 3 CTR#83 = VAR 1 CTR#84 = VAR 2 CTR#85 = VAR 3 CTR#86 ...

So you can control the pa600 with program change messages via midi. http://www.korgforums.com/forum/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=88355&highlight= So get some old hardware that puts out program changes, maybe like this: https://www.ebay.com/itm/401468544692? You could probably use your midi device if you ...

There's a lot of ways to use an arranger with a DAW setup. More about what is it you want to do? You can have the arranger play along with the DAW. You can record the audio output of the arranger. You can also record the midi output. For midi, get the reference manual for the pa 600 and under style ...

Lot of info in the manual.

Not really about midi so much as learning your keyboard and how to save settings.

You could read the PDF reference manual on a tablet.

I didn't see the answer, when I export it's type 1, not sure if it's a setting somewhere. Can't remember... Look at export options maybe. Search the forums, knowledge base and google for export type 1 midi in S1. https://forums.presonus.com/viewtopic.php?f=151&t=2794 https://support.presonus.com/hc ...
