if you are on the Mac, and you have GarageBand 3 then you can do it for free http://www.thegaragedoor.com/tutorials/building.html i have to thank thysm00 over at KVR forum for this one :D however you MUST have GB 3, older or newer versions do not seem to have this facility otherwise you could invest ...

depends on what you are trying to Kontrol things like volume, pan, depth of reverb, are the only things you can control through Continuous Controllers. the nano may be small but it goes HUGE on dissappointment when one finds out there is no ability to do patch or program changes ( PGM change ...

looks like you cant do PGM changes either

unless someone can educate us otherwise, but its byte header is very different from Continuous controller header

from where i sit, the Kontrol can't do it either
i put the question out on twitter, and no one can do a PGM change

nano may be small but it goes HUGE on dissappointment

well after a lot of digging round, it looks like i'd need the NanoKONTROL for that job, however after closely ins[ecting its manuals, and going over its functions in the KontrolEditor: - it can't do it either, because there's no newer or other functionality available or - the PAD could do it anyway ...

no takers . .

anyway i assume i'll have to get NanoKontrol for that function
which is OK - PAD would have been nicer for setting of sound effects in a dark theatre without trying to locate little buttons

can NanoPAD be set up to do MIDI PGM changes?

the title says it all really i have a question about how to set up for triggering - but i'll do some more SEARCHing first in the meantime, one of the reasons i bought it was because i thought i could use the PAD to change programs off a laptop sequencer in a "fast" don't-have-to-look closely fashion ...
