Noise in headphones

Hi JotaCeGe I too have had the same problem. I rang Korg in the UK and said they have never heard of it. All transformers buzz but it SHOULD not be audible in the keyboard. I think its to do with the internal components not having enough shielding. Its very annoying. You could try and get a ...

Sorry Adimatis, its about not treating it properly, i carried it in a flightcase as most people would. Music is my livelihood so why wouldn't i take care of it? Adimatis, look at any of the Korg forums. You will see people looking for help on keyboards, freezing problems, key not sounding. Is this ...

Bye Bye PA50

See what i mean. They use cheap components and then expect you to pay a premium price. How many Korg users have had broken joysticks, buttons that stick, countless OS faults, LCD faults and i've even had a call from a friend of mine who traded in his Tyros 3 for a new PA2x that on his first night ...

Re: Roland/Yamaha

I'm afraid not dude. All Roland arrangers are made in Italy whereas Yamaha's are still made in Japan. Yes the cheaper Yammies are made in China. Like all Korgs. Korg still make the circuit boards in Japan but send them to China. Plus I read somewhere a circuit board for a Korg tends to be a variable ...

PA50 Country styles

Hi Mick Sorry, I was looking for a good irish Mick Flavin/Declan Nerney quickstep style etc. Irish waltz etc. But my PA50 is no more. It developed a short in the power supply taking the main board with it. I'm disgusted and it happened in the middle of a gig too. Just going to buy a Roland E-80 or a ...

Bye Bye PA50

Hi all, My PA50 died on me last Saturday night. A regulator in the power supply went short circuit and burned the entire PSU board and caused another short in the main board. My dealer says its not worth repairing. Its not under warranty so i'm going to dump it. I'll never ever trust a Korg again ...

Re: Ketron Audya

I agree with you mate, i do think though that spending nearly €4500 (in Ireland) on a keyboard is a bit silly. Granted the Audya has a lot going for it but its interface is very clunky and not well thought out. But i have used this board and i am blown away by it. But spending that amount is crazy. ...

PA50 OS differences

Hi Kangal, I bought a PA50 a few months ago and it had V1.04 dated 2004. One thing i did notice was how long it took to load the OS (>30 secs). So i updated it to V1.05 dated October 2005 and the first thing i noticed was how quick it loaded the OS, less than 10 secs. So theres one major difference ...

Ketron Audya

Hi Sorry Basari, I probably wasn't too clear on what i did with the Audya. I didn't actually create any styles on it. I only edited some of them, e.g. instrument volumes etc, the same with the voices. I think in general Ketron keyboards have a somewhat difficult method of programming styles but its ...

Ketron Audya

Hi all I've just finished programming an Audya(styles, voices etc) and i have to say its a sizeable task. But i also have a Korg PA 50 and it takes an awful lot longer to program the Korg. Ketron have made a huge improvement on many of the voices. The guitars are fantastic, all of the woodwind and ...

Hi Paul I had the same problem with my PA50. A lot of it is down to EQ'ing but ultimately it depends on speakers/amp combination. I too have a Yamaha powered mixer and have tried several brands of loudspeakers and found major differences in them. I eventually found JBL's JRX 115 speakers to be able ...

Re: Urgently Required ~ Country Styles Korg is-40/50

Hi can anyone post some Country Styles for the Korg is-40/50 please. Hi eamon, just looking through the forum, did you ever get them country styles for the is-40/50? i presume its for irish country stuff?? Just asking because i've converted styles from the ketron xd9 which has some very 'live ...
