The Volca Sample has a true stereo output, don't forget. It's the first in the range to have a pan control.

Automation in sequencer mode - what's possible?

Hi all, I have never owned a Korg workstation, just an R3. Please forgive me if this is a silly question. If I program a song into the onboard sequencer, what parameters can be recorded and replayed? As a minimum, I'd need fader/level automation of each track, and ideally other controls such as ...

Does the Radias have more patch destinations than R3?

I've always been a little surprised that I can't set parameters such as Attack Time or FX Wet/Dry amount as destinations for LFOs.

Does the Radias offer an expanded range of patch destinations, or is it the same as the R3?

Thanks for the review, Myrmidon. I use an R3 for lead sounds in a Pink Floyd tribute band, plus some of the odder noises (such as the falling bleeps at the start of "Shine On" and the morse code at the start of "Astronomy Domine"). As has been mentioned, I can't work in a live situation without ...

What a cool idea! I'd love a randomiser - was this one for a Radias or R3?

I can't find sustain or hold as a patch destination, so possibly not.

LOL, that actually works! I shall now be checking the folding quality of a one day travelcard before every gig..... just another thing to put on the checklist!

The alternative would be to toggle the polarity switch on the existing sustain pedal, but that's hidden away. Cardboard visible :-)

Yep, I'd thought of that, but the arpeggiator is already running a pattern on the other timbre.

R3: How to keep a note on indefinitely?

Hi, I need to keep a mod sequence playing for a long time. It's only one note, but I'd rather not have to keep a finger on it for the whole duration, or keep a foot on the sustain pedal. Is there any way (other than dumping a heavy weight on the keyboard) that I can keep it going ad infinitum ...

A bump on this, as I'm interested to get feedback regarding the use of R3 from a BCR2000 as well. I'm considering getting one for my R3 and would appreciate any opinions.

I haven't found a Gator case that fits at all. I looked recently and thought that one of the Peli rifle cases would be fantastic, but unfortunately at over £200!

Some keyboards respond to additional pressure on a key subsequent to the initial note-on action. Often used for vibrato etc. You can't emulate aftertouch in software - it has to be a function of the physical keyboard in order to be present.
