As I said, I talked about the tradeoffs of using sequencer mode over combi mode in another thread 3-6 months ago. It shouldn't be hard to find if you search the forums. Kanthos - is this the thread to which you are referring? http://www.korgforums.com/forum/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=45393&highlight ...

Yes, the amp sims are noisy, that's because it's a real tube. I'm glad the SV-1 uses a real tube, noisiness and all, instead of digital modeling. Adan Gee, are tubes inherently noisy? That MP3 of Andy's sounds just like the artifacts of digital amp modeling I get in my Roland Cube-60 amp, my ...

Also interesting -- the M50 61 can be found pretty easily on the Internet for 800 bucks or thereabouts. Looks like he's trying to make a profit as well.

Re: Using 2 keyboards for gigs

This is just a general question. I just came back from a cruise. I noticed that the bands on board where there was a keyboardist always used 2 keyboards. The keyboards were korg or roland. Does the average player find it is just easier to work with 2 keyboards, one sounding like piano, and just ...

Also check the output channel. When I started doing combis (and I've only had the M50-73 for two weeks, now), I only heard the first sound until I realized that you need to set the output to the global channel (Gch) or they don't sound for you.

Yep -- Sweetwater. Everything I've ever received from them, including replacements for defective purchased items, has come with candy. I would be that's the deal.

WOW! X-Trade and Kanthos -- thanx. Like drinking from a fire hose. I'm not only new to the M50 (had it for 3 days now) but I'm also new to the Nord Stage (about 2 weeks). I can sort of absorb what you're saying but will have to go back and re-read and play a bit. X-Trade - yes, as you said -- I do ...

Can M50 control patches for Nord Stage Live?

I finally picked up my M50 73 yesterday! Love it so far. I'm planning to perform live with a Nord Stage and the M50. Seems like there might be quite a bit of hassle calling up two configurations for each song we play (one for Nord, one for Korg). What I want when I'm finished is the Nord plays Nord ...

Thanks, moonshine. I'm US based.

I did check out the link you posted. I couldn't find any details relating to the weight of the case. Is that available somewhere?

Which gig bag for the M50-73?

I'm getting ready to buy an M50 as a second board for gigging. Not sure yet if 73 or 61 key, but probably 73. What gig bags do people recommend? I've read lots of posts everywhere about the fragile nature of the M50 (plastic and all that) and I've spent a fair amount of time in stores with it so I ...
