Are you using the pedal that came with the SV? It does half pedaling through a mono jack (i have no idea how, but it does) so a normal pedal might cause this?

RCA is unbalanced. For going between the SV and a pair of monitors you don't really need balanced. The XLR out's are really hot and sound quite good though, so it's a good choice if you don't have a mixer/preamp. I use the balanced out's instead of a DI on stage and sound guy's love it (and it ...

I suspect there's much more under the hood than Korg is letting us see. I believe all of the samples in the sound banks are already in the rom of the SV-1.

Korg should really just give us access to the same editor they use to make the sound banks. ;) Maybe we could fix the amp ourselves.

I'm not really sure this is a bug? The Favourites give you an extra 8 program/sample locations independent of the sound knobs (which is cool). The sound knobs are just showing you where the favourite sample would be loaded. Any hoo... Doesn't offend me personally. I'd rather they tweaked the amp ...

It's a bit of an issue that I can't use the front dial on stage. It's got way too much gain and the difference in a single number on the panel increases the volume way too much. Even the Leslie amp is crazy (which should have no gain). Sounds like the guitar guys did the amp sim... ;) My only ...

I've had good results using the limiter to even out the volume of various sounds. You can edit it through the editor.

It's really handy for making the rhodes more expressive. I can play soft and get a quiet tone without losing all of the volume.

Changing the tube

Can you change the tube in the SV-1? Will it make any difference at all? I hoped it was as easy as taking the window off and swapping it out, but it seems to be soldered to the socket. I suppose the "Valve Reactor" tech is not suppose to wear out tubes. My issue is that a 12ax7 has WAAAAY to much ...

You need to install the Korg USB driver. If you go to the device manager and under sound, video and game controllers it should say KORG SV-1. If it just says SV-1 it's the Windows generic driver. Update the device driver and point it at the KORG USB-MIDI Driver directory in your \program files ...

I have an SV-1 73 and I'd have to agree with some of the posters. Let me preface by saying I love it. but... The amp model is really noisy and difficult to get a clean sound from. I want power amp distortion when I really hit it. I really, really want to like the tube, but it's hard to. If I swap ...
