Hi all,

You can download the patch here:

http://type34.info/temp/Patches/

You can use it in any way you like but if you use it in a track I would appreciate a credit :)

Thanks,

D.

Cover of Gary Numan's "Airlane"

Hi all, Here's my cover of Gary Numan's "Airlane". The main lead is my Radias. The Radias completely nails the original Polymoog lead: <iframe width="100%" height="166" scrolling="no" frameborder="no" src="http://w.soundcloud.com/player/?url=http%3A%2F%2Fapi.soundcloud.com%2Ftracks%2F53594454&show ...

yea but its not hard to program if you know what your making- just try to make like sonic the hedgehog music or genesis synth sounds- because those games used a similar sound chip to the dx7. only difference is the genesis was multitimbral, (but thats why they made the dx7-2) btw whats the closest ...

[quote="Re-Member"]The DX7 is extremely complicated to program. I owned one for awhile and could never wrap my head around programming sounds. The menu system makes it extremely difficult to experiment with. [quote] It's not really that hard, but it is different, and there is a big learning curve. I ...

OK. By popular request, here is another recording. http://www.type34.info/temp/JP8000%20and%20Radias.wav I have turned off all effects on both synths for this one. This makes it MUCH more difficult to get close. On this recording there are: - A few octaves and a couple of scales on the JP8000 - The ...

Programming challenge: Roland JP8000 supersaw

Hi all, As discussed, here is the Roland JP8000 supersaw challenge. This is a recording I made some time ago for another forum. It features a very simple supersaw sound, and my attempt to replicate it on the Radias. It shows single notes, and chords on the JP and Radias. http://www.type34.info/temp ...

a JP8000 supersaw is made by.... :D  Supposedly, you can't get any other synth to sound like a roland supersaw. Just sounds like a challenge to me. I think there is some truth in that. You can get close, of sourse, but it won't really sound like a JP8000. I'd be happy to supply the supersaws ...

The pad in the second clip sounds like a jp8000 supersaw.

In the second clip you can hear the lead better. I really think it was done with ring modulation.

By the way, I just made this patch in less than 15 seconds. 1. Initialize Patch. 2. Apply hardclip waveshape, 100% 3. Turn LFO1 to 100 Hz 4. Patch LFO1 to Pitch, Roughly +15 Done. Oh, you kinda needa add delay and shiznit as well, but I do that in post. Wow you're fast . . it took me at least 30 ...

Maybe we should have programming challenges to see who can get nearest to a certain sound. Here's my attempt. I am pretty sure I've nailed the basic sound. The only thing I can't be sure about from the Youtube video is the effects. http://www.type34.info/temp/Freeze%202-Radias%20Channel%201.wav I ...

Sylnth1 sounds ARE EXTREMELY easy to replicate on the RADIAS. however if you have the r3 you may have some difficulty, though you'll be able to get it pretty exact even on the r3. Maybe I should try it with a couple of sounds and see how it goes. Thinking about it, Sylenth1 is quite different in ...

The Radias is about 100 times more versatile than Sylenth1. On the other hand, Sylenth1 has quite a characteristic sound of its own, and very high sound quality. I think it would be quite hard to nail Sylenth's sound on a Radias. I have both, and I've never really felt that one is a replacement for ...

Yes, you can do that. You have to set a separate Midi channel for each timbre within your program. To do this. Press EDIT Select the timbre you want Press TIMBRE (button 3) Scroll across to Midi with the page + button Change GLB to whatever channel you want. Is there really a plug-in version of the ...
