The takeover/pickup mode works if you use the DAW (ableton in my case) mapping facility ie configure mode.

Using the editor librarian presets (eg KORG LC) for the Kontrol49 appears not to allow pickup meaning that you have manual map settings and save as a DAW template for future use

Is there any way to set up the Kontrol49 to pick up encoder / slider values in the soft synths to prevent settings 'jumping' to the encoder value when tweaked? I have set up value scaling in Ableton preferences but believe there are issues in the DAW regarding the lock to control surface function ...
