Looks like I found a work around for this problem. By setting MIDI Clock to "External" in Global settings, it successfully completes the transfer. For some reason, a MIDI Clock setting of "Auto" or "Internal" causes problems

Is there software available that allows you to see all the settings for MS2000? I know there is an "original value" light that shows the setting.
