...but a 3 year free loan is a 3 year free loan. It's a lot easier negotiating tactic with the wife than telling her that you are taking $3xxx out of the bank for YET ANOTHER musical instrument that "you already have too many of."

Hear, hear. =D>

I speculate that they didn't mention it because it allows Kronos to stand on its own two feet against the competition from Yamaha and Kurzweil. Trying to market a keyboard that's a "lite" version of another one just doesn't have the same effect as "the game has been changed...again." I think that ...

Haha. Yeah, like I said, they're really minor. Purely cosmetic.

The little rail thing on the back has a dent, and the finish is scratched off in another spot, I think. (That's just off the top of my head though.)

FS: KORG M3-61 (SOLD)

Selling my M3-61. Thought I would be able to use it way more than I do. Seems a real shame for it to just sit around the way it does! There are some minor scuffs and stuff on the back, looks like someone dropped it. PM or email me and I'll send you some pics. Everything is fully functional, though ...

Right, makes sense. Yeah, as I said, don't have the FW expansion but the editor (I use the VST plugin with Ableton Live) works like a charm.

Anyone with EXB-FW and Mac OSX 10.6 want to chime in?

10.6.4, I believe. I update as frequently as I can. (Not near enough to my laptop to tell, though.)

You've tried it, I assume? What about it wasn't working?

Hey, dade. Sounds like a cool project! I'm a graphic designer...would be more than happy to work with you on the GUI when you get there. (Just throwing it out there.)

And look at it this way, you don't have to worry about screwing something up, it already doesn't work. Well, that's not totally true...but... Upon closer inspection, I noticed that the couple black keys that were not working right were actually pulled out a little bit. So I pushed them down close ...

Thanks, McHale. That's kind of what I thought...have you ever opened one up? Anything to beware of before I try it? I've worked on computers since I was a kid but they tend to be very predictable, and I've never opened a keyboard before.

Thrwo away the broken keyboard, buy a used mc1000 for 200 bucks, and be happy But I like the m3 keybed! Part of the reason I bought the m3-61 and not just the m3-m was so I don't have to use an external controller in live situations. I like to keep it simple...keyboard-->amp. Done. That said, I'll ...

I saved a backup right when I turned it on. Although, I bought it used, so how much of the factory settings are still there, I can't be sure. I got it for a ridiculously low $799, and the eBay auction said there was a broken button (the "5" on the KARMA control surface) but the button works, just ...
