I just locked mine twice today by using the COPY FROM COMBI command in SEQ mode. I was using MULTI REC and some of the channels had either a KARMA or a DRUM TRACK going on them.

If i get a padcontrol from Korg and usb it to my kronos, can the pads go through the kronos and into my DAW?
In other words in the controller an extension of the kronos, or is it just like any other controller?

I'm in South Jersey. I will soon have the center of Sandy over me. the Kronos is on an ultimate support stand in the basement. i will bring it upstairs if i get e few feet, but it should be OK. Don't watch the news too much. It'll make you nuts.

keep the KSCs apart. it will be easier to use that way. just remember to save the appropriate PCG with each save so the samples line up with the patches.

i'm using kronos for studio use and have been adding custom samples so i can have one big KSC file when i turn it on. for some reason i have to remap drumkits. thanks for the info. hopefully i'll get my head around this.

I've written a few drumkits. i saved PCGs and KSCs.
after i've saved them the samples disappear in kits GLOBAL mode.
it says SAMPLES NOT LOADED.

I remap them to point to them and there they are. i RESAVE, they disappear... until of course i remap. how do i break this cycle?

Does anybody have an initialized drumkit with all of the notes assigned ??

take your time. learning curve is steep, and the kronos 61 is the 35th keyboard i've owned... I still can't get a few things figured out.

i lost a few self edited drum kits yesterday. saving rom and ram sounds to the same kit totally messed me up. i'm not getting the new version 2 use of "sample sessions" instead of ram. also i'm not sure how streaming works.

this should be easy to do in midi, not sysex. what gives?
