Just tried to get Pro Tools 11.3.1.37 to work with the new M50 Editor version 1.2.3
Pro Tools doesn't recognize it as a plug-in. Does the program need to be in a specific spot on the hard drive? In a plug-in folder or something. It wasn't a problem with the old one.

M50 sequence out to protools 10
I'm having trouble getting a sequence to output midi to protools so I can edit it a bit. I've got it connected via USB, and protools will record the first 20 seconds or so of midi, but then stops, though the sequence continues. What gives? I used to do this a few years ago, but it was a different ...

Korg/Protools
In Global Mode go to Global P1: MIDI Under the "MIDI Clock" setting, make sure that "External USB" is checked. Instructions can be found on pgs. 220 & 221 of the Parameter Guide. The .pdf file for both the Owner's Manual and the Parameter Guide can be downloaded from the KORG web site. Also, check ...

Korg m50-88 with protools
I'm trying to use my m50-88 to generate drum tracks in protools. I've set up the M50 editor as a plugin, I'm using the USB connection, seems everything is operating correctly, but----- The drum track generated by the m50 goes out of sync with the protools session. Both are set to 120 bpm, but they ...

BC3 w/M50
I wonder if the breath controller could be placed between the M50 and protools to accomplish this. I am recording via USB, but I could change this. Also, I did notice a box to check off in the M50 set-up that said something about merging MIDI info and sending it out, but only applicable in VST mode ...

BC3 with M50-88
It's working. Basic connection (MIDI out from M50 to MIDI in on MS box to MIDI in on M50). Had to "tune" the gain & offset knobs on the headset a bit. I think that was the rub at the beginning. My concern now is that the information doesn't record into Protools. This surprises me, since the modwheel ...

Thanks, but still no dice.
Thanks for the ideas. Hooked up the MS Box/Yamaha BC3 to my Korg M50-88. Nothing. Tried unchecking "local control on" in the Midi setup. Also tried assigning CC# 2 to the footpedal. Still unsuccessful. Maybe the M50-88 has another step, or is incompatible. ---Mark I can clarify, confirm and Video ...

Anywhere to learn about "controller routing in the patches"? I'm specifically interested in doing this with an M50-88, but would love to find out what the process is. Everyone mentions this process as if it were universally understood, and I haven't yet found a good explanation. if you work with ...

I'm curious about this, too.

The manual for the MS box instructs the user to send sys ex messages to program the box. I was wondering if you planned to purchase the MS box and, if so, how you plan to send the sys ex messages.

Re: should I fork out for an m50?
I've got an M50-88 and love it to death. Great touch, good synth sounds, interfaces well with Kontact and Protools. For me it's the perfect keyboard. --Mark I don't know... well, to be honest, I DO know, I love it, it sounds great actually, but the thing is I've just sold my sp250 piano and really ...
