Falcon2e,

He's doing/showing exactly what I've been doing for years, except that for it to work, you have to have 'Song' un-ticked in the Global settings Menu.

Otherwise a window pop-up tells you 'Memory is Protected' and you cannot record until you clear the 'Song' item in Global!

Regards,

MC

GregC, All I've ever done to get the sequencer to record, is select a set sound, ie: a piano, or any instrument that I've edited and resides in my set list, then providing the 'song' setting is switched to 'off' in global settings, I just press Enter and Record and it automatically opens the ...

Falcon2e, Thanks for your reply. I have 3.1.3 loaded but will have to see what firmware I have onboard. To answer your last question, then No, I have not tried to record direct from a combi or program. But I will give it a go. I know it may seem silly but I've always used the set list display to set ...

Sequencer Recording problem

Hi all, I've not posted here for a very long time but often pop in to read posts. Has anyone had this problem with the sequencer? I checked through the search pages but didn't manage to find this problem I've mentioned. I choose a piano, or any instrument from my set list and having first opened up ...

How do I copy a Karma module to perfectly replicate.

This topic has probably been covered in the past. I've looked at Qui's video about how to copy a Karma module into another combi and to be honest, no matter what I've tried the sound is nothing like the original Karma module. I've tried re-addressing all the MIDI settings, so am obviously doing ...

CrowNose1, When I first loaded Aureo's PCG22 I couldn't get it to work but that's not unusual for my Kronos. He kindly sent me another file, KRO219A and even that didn't work. I'm very familiar with loading stuff into my Kronos and was puzzled as to why both files didn't work, so I re-set Kronos ...

CrowNose1, There is indeed a file missing and exactly the same thing happened with my Kronos. It freezes and the only way to clear it is to re-boot. Don't try to load the Jupisynth, or the samples for it, as they appear to be missing. Not sure whether Aureo knows about this but I'm certain he's the ...

Gaston,

Lucky You!
Glad to hear you can use them.

I wish I could get them working in my Kronos, as they sound great when
Korgmann plays them on You Tube. :? :( :( :(

Korgmann very kindly sent me 2 PCG files, as I'd had a problem with the first file, so he sent a different PCG containing the same set of files and I loaded them, only to find I have the same problem. When I loaded the first one some of the program files sound OK, but the combis sound awful, so I re ...

Tiko, Thank you so much for your kind offer of help. I feel humbled after listening to such a great musician, as you definately are.. Don't be surprised when I send you a PM. :D Once again, it proves just what a great forum this one is, with so many of you bending over backwards to help us lesser ...

JoeyL and Tiko, I've set up the Kronos with both of your settings and can honestly say I like them both. The German D Dark Grand now sounds 'richer', if that's the right word to describe it. I've used the Berlin Una Corda to try to re-create Tiko's set-up and it too sounds great but It sounds ...

Tiko, To receive a reply from you is an honour indeed. I've listened many many times to your compositions on Sound Cloud and have to say there are some purely epic sounds within. Many are pure works of art. I don't generally copy others' work, because I feel that would be an infringement of the ...

JoeyL, Thank you so much for giving such a detailed reply to my question. It is VERY greatly appreciated. Just have to say I had tried with almost all the Factory piano sounds within Kronos and the German D Dark Grand came out as my favourite and yes I had used various FX and reverbs, but they didn ...

Can Kronos produce Tiko's sound?

Been listening to Tiko Lasola on Sound Cloud. He plays some fantastic compositions and he's a Great Musician but there's one piano sound of his I would love to create on my Kronos. He plays a piece called 'Fireflies' and it has a lovely haunting piano that I cannot seem to emulate. Do any of you ...

AntonySharmman, You are correct!! "Any day and Night" :) Me having entered a tongue in cheek reply; I have to put the record straight and Highly commend you for the work you've done with those Guitar sounds. I've never heard a keyboard produce such realistic guitars as these and I doubt you could ...
