Glitch - note repeating when key held down.

I bought a 73 key GS recently and discovered the E above middle C sometimes repeats itself when I strike it hard and keep the key held down. I am assuming it is a rubber contact problem. Are all RH3 rubber contact strips the same ie, on Ebay someone is selling contact strips for Kronos 2, SV1, SP250 ...

Adjusting note decay

I find some of the decay lengths on the Grandstage piano patches a bit too short. Is there a way of adjusting the decay time?

Second Keyboard

Sorry - I meant I run out of polyphony on the M50, and I expect/hope that the Nautilus will be much better than the M50 (haven't bought mine yet). If I patch another slave keyboard into the Nautilus - does this also reduce the overall polyphony or if I use different channels to do this is the ...

Second Keyboard

Essentially it is the difference in touch - I like the 88 keys on the M50, and I know the Nautilus also has RH3 keys, so this covers most of what I play. But I also like light keys - my Triton is the perfect example. I am looking at Waterfall keys like the Roland VR-730, just for the change of touch ...

Basic UP/DOWN arpeggio on M50

I know there are tons of arpeggios on the M50, but all I want is the straightforward UP and DOWN. Can someone tell me which arpeggio number this is?

BON JOVI "Talk-Box" patches and other sounds

One of the limitations of the M50 is the inability to import sampled sounds. I am desperately still trying to replicate the Bon Jovi talk-box sound that appears on "Living on a Prayer" and "Its My Life". The previous keyboard player used a sample uploaded to the Kronos, but this poor old man cannot ...

2nd Keyboard to compliment 88 key Nautilus

I have had my beloved M50-88 for 15 years and have decided to upgrade to a Nautilus. Hopefully later this year I will be in a position to afford one. Certainly the Nautilus seems great value for money when compared to the Kronos. As a piano pianist & synth player I cannot imagine life without 88 ...

Great Replies

Thank you so much to Harry and Scott for the informative replies! I didn't consider the Nautilus - I will research this now, many thanks. The M50 88 is/was an incredible instrument and I am only replacing her because she is old, and needs regular servicing now. She is a veteran of literally hundreds ...

Ahead of its time

I am looking to replace my M50 88 for either a Kross 2 or a Krome, and this in itself is a difficult decision to make. But, I also need to replace my very old but wonderful LE61 Triton. Her screen is barely readable, and it needs 10 minutes to warm up before it plays in "stereo" through the mono ...

Krome 2 88 keys or Grandstage 88

I am torn now between the Krome 2 and the Grandstage. I definitely dont want to buy the Kross 2, although the light weight does seem appealing. I want something great for gigs, and with a nice piano action - I am a pianist rather than a synth/organ player, and I have become pretty good a creating ...

M50 or Kross or Krome or.....?

I am in the same dilemma. I love my M50, and I've gigged mine to death. I hate to let her go but she's needing a service on the keybed every year and she's a bit tatty now. But for sounds and editing, and the brilliant weighted action, its the best keyboard I've owned. But I'm getting older now, so ...

Korg Krome 88 EX version

Many thanks for the replies. Its true, I do love my M50, and letting her go will be a wrench. I will probably go for something new, but I've heard mixed reviews about the newest Krome 88 - the EX.
What is everyone's opinion on this latest version - Krome EX?

What to buy in 2021?

My beloved M50 is in need of some TLC now. I love this keyboard so much, but it is starting to show signs of age. The keyboard itself has had to be repaired by a tech twice in 2 years, and after 15 years of regular gigs and constant transport I think it is time I bought something new. But what ...

M50 88 keys not working

My M50 is doing some strange things. A few days ago some of the keys seemed to stop working, then would work albeit slowly. Unplugged everything then left it overnight, next day everything was fine. Played it most days including this afternoon, and I edited some sounds and created combis etc ...
