In case anyone is still interested, you can record your step sequences (on Trck 16), and then if you want to build a song, copy the first recording to an empty track, then create a new step sequence (a variation of the first, presumably), then append that to the first, or copy to another empty track ...

Just recently I started noticing key noise on my 88. It's aannoying and I'll probably have to take it for service (which unfortunately is 80 miles away.) I've seen one thread about this on the Krome forum, and serice reports seem a bit mixed. I was just wondering if anyone knew of any warranty ...

I realize this thread is 3 years old, bt I just wanted chime in and report that I'm having the same issue now with my Kross 88. It's just one key(so far) but it's E above middle C, which obviously gets used frequently, and it's becoming an annoyance. It sounds like some you who have had serviced for ...

Thanks! You just answered a bunch more of my questions and saved me some furious flipping through manual pages! I take it you have owned a Kross for a while; what do you still like about it? Did these shortcomings come as a suprise, or were you at least expecting a stripped down model? Just curious ...

Thanks--oddly, that seems to work, though I would not have guessed it was a resolution issue. I also found that I could reset the metronome accordingly only after kitting the record button. I also thought there was some way to copy the Step Sequence pattern to a normal drum track for more detailed ...

Did you figure it out? If you scroll through the patterns list you'll find some 6/8 and 3/4 patterns. What I find frustrating is that there is apparently no way to load these in the step sequencer. Apparently there are only a few programs with loadable patterns. I tried changing the default to a ...

Step Sequencer -- 3/4 time?

is there any way to use the step sequencer in 3/4 time? It seems to be layed out for twos and fours only, and i don't se anything in the manuals suggesting this possibility, unless I've missed something.

it's the second part of a two piano duet. I actually created the file using a scan to midi program, and it sounds just fine. What I did notice is that part got split into 5 different channels, and this is due in part to the fact that each hand was assigned a separate channel. I just deleted the ...

Different Midi problem

I have a midi file for a piano duet I' m working on, and the idea is for me to play the first part while the midi file plays the second. I can load the file and play it back just fine, but the the midi playback is much louder than the keyboard itself, so I can barely hear myself. I can't figure out ...

Yes, I found those protect options poking around a bit further. It can't hurt! At least for now.

E3 plays a snare with Program Int A-018 Studio Standard Kit on my M3. All keys play something with that program. It works ok when I use it in a combi and song too. Maybe you could try reloading the drum kits. Go to Global Mode and select Load Preload/Demo Data from the menu. Then select Drum Kit ...

Preset Drum Kit Mappings

I was looking over the Voice Name List for the drum kits and thought it was odd that for each kit pretty much every key has a drum sound mapped to it. However, when I load, say the Studio kit, there's no snare on E3, where there's supposed to be, but the hand claps are right there on D#. I tend to ...

Yup! I just found this out myself, from the guy who runs the Karma-Lab boards. Now, I thought normalizing was supposed to account for those spikes, the idea being to bring up the volume as high as possible without clipping. Does it just not work as well as advertised? I was actually surprised that ...

I just noticed this myself while creating programs from Vintage Keyboard Sounds samples. The default M3 programs all sound plenty loud at 100, but the programs I create from VKS samples sound pretty quiet at 127 (the settinng in the audio page). Is there in fact a way to increase this volume of the ...

Well, okay--upon further experimentation I see it doesn't quite work that way either. I was envisioning a process where I could start a KSC file under a certain name and then just keep adding on to it and re-saving it over time. However, if I try to save a KSC file with appended data, I get the ...
