The Elecribe has 64 steps (4 bars of 1/16 notes or 2 bars of 1/32 notes). The Circuit has 128 steps (8 bars of 1/16 notes or 4 bars of 1/32 notes). The Circuit has a reasonable pattern length and the Electribe does not, for some reason I can't figure out (it's honestly baffling to me that anyone ...

The one thing putting me off buying one of the new Electribes - and I was seriously considering buying one before I found this out - is the pattern length being too short. I need at least 128 steps. If it's possible to accomplish that with a firmware upgrade, I don't care what has to be sacrificed ...

Bit of an update on the foot switch experiment. I got the foot switch. Plugged it in. Tried to run the software that came with it. It didn't work. Then I tried running the software without the foot switch plugged in, and it started up just fine. I plugged the foot switch in again, and the program ...

I have a hypothesis I've yet to test. Observations: 1. There are HID USB pedals available on eBay (of which I have ordered one and am awaiting delivery). 2. There is software that can translate HID input into MIDI information (such as for example Fergo JoystickMIDI in combination with LoopBe1 ...

False. Shift+slider has no effect on the synths. It only affects the FX Release, which (for no reason I can think of) is separate from the delay on the synths.

So regarding that synth delay... (KP3 & KP3+)

One of my big complaints about the KP3 when it came out was that all the synth functions came with a long and loud (and, as far as I can tell, entirely pointless) delay that renders said synths completely useless musically, and can't seem to be turned off (one would think turning down the FX release ...

condenser mics need a power source, what is the SM58's power source? The SM58 is not a condenser mic; It's a dynamic mic. Just clarifying that there's a distinction. Oh, another observation: SM58 is good for vocals. There are other mics that are better for other purposes. If you for example intend ...

http://www.korgforums.com/forum/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=25777 Thanks. Looking at the little ribbon cable, it looks to me well fastened, but it also appears to be folded and not in very good condition. Can I replace it? Does it have a name? ETA: By the way, it's not a calibration issue. It's the ...

Re: try this

1. Press 1 and 2 and Sampling while powering on the KP3. 2. PrLD will appear in the LED. 3. C will be on, D will be flashing. (This is where Korg left me, after waiting and not seeing any change I pressed D. I know, genius!) 4. Press D. 5. urt will flash in the LED. 6. P.off will then appear in the ...

I use my KP3 to improvise makeshift beats on the fly. I just got a second KP3, so that should help me not have to mute the main loop while making and manipulating more loops. Things I use alongside KP3, as audio sources, include samplers, cheap keyboards, mic (I beatbox) and some vocal effects. I ...

KP3: Weird graphics(?) issue / Restore factory settings?

So...my memory's a bit fuzzy on this one, but I'll try to give as accurate a description as I can of the events leading up to me posting this. Long time ago, I got myself a KP3. After the firmware update (there may have been some other events in between; I can't remember), I noticed the lights were ...

If you aren't DIY handyman, don't bother, because you still need to cut and connect/solder wires. I do that all the time. Mainly audio cables, but I know how to cut and solder, so that part is covered if need be. You can cut/desolder the original us adapter cable at the base, because the AC/DC ...

Yes, no problem, it only means that the 2 Ampere powersupply is almost 3 times more powerful than the original 0,7 Ampere. (in theory, you can connect 3 kp3 to it, if you have/can make daisy chain powerplugs to the powersupply output. Thanks! That's very helpful. And fascinating. Daisy-chaining ...

KP3 amperage - how important?

I just bought my second KP3, imported from the US, and since I knew the American adapter wouldn't work with the European current, I also bought what was advertised as a third party EU adapter compatible with KP3. Looking at the US adapter, my original EU adapter (for my other KP3), and the new ...
