Sorry to resurrect this thread but I didn't want to create another one unnecessarily. I have ordered an MS 20 Mini now and it should come next week (it cost just £345 with a free Monotron Delay, bargain!). Seeing as I already have a Monotribe, would it be possible to use that to sequence the MS 20? ...

Noob Advice For Learning Please
Hi everyone, I am thinking of getting an MS 20 Mini but I am a beginner with using synthesizers. I have got a bit of a taste with using synths as I already own a Monotribe and a Microkorg but I'd like to learn how to use them properly rather than just turning the knobs and flicking switches until I ...

Thanks very much for the info. I emailed Korg UK and they said that they do sell the goosneck mic for the microkorg so I will order one from them as it's not too expensive. I wanted it mainly to record my thumb piano and use the vocoder to alter the sounds (which will probably be tricking holding ...

Wanted Microkorg Microphone In UK
Hi everyone, I'm another one of those people whose bought a microkorg off ebay but it doesn't come with the gooseneck microphone. I've looked on ebay but I can't find any for sale and I was wondering if Korg themselves or anyone else sells them? I see the newer microkorg XL uses the same mic too ...

Thanks for the reply. I got in contact with Korg and they said that I needed to get in contact with the place where I originally bought it from as it looks like it's developed a fault and may need replacing. Luckily I'd bought it from Amazon and had only had it for just under 6 months, I did a web ...

Monotron Delay Not Outputting Correctly - Help!!
Hi, I've recently started getting a problem with my Monotron Delay not outputting the sound properly. It seems to be a problem with the headphone port rather than any cables. If I put a cable all the way in so it's flush with port, then the sound only comes through one speaker (usually the right ...

That is surprising to hear this issue is also happening on the new model of the mini KP. I thought perhaps the problem was occurring on mine because it is getting old now but it appears that it may be a common fault on these devices. I also use mains power as well as batteries but it sounds like ...

Which Should I Buy Next: KP3 or Microkorg?
Hi, I'm not sure whether this is better in this forum or in the General Synths section but I'm trying to decide which of the above to buy next in my ever-increasing electronic set up. I've seen them both online for quite reasonable prices at around £150 each (plus I'd have to pay £8 postage for the K ...

Monotribe Tempo Control
Hi, I wondered if it's possible to control the tempo on a Monotribe with a metronome such as the Korg MA-1? I already have the Korg Sync Control app for my iPod Touch but I'd like to be able to use other music apps on that instead and I can't do this if it's being used primarily to control the ...

I think I have it in Direct mode as I am connecting my Monotribe (from the Monotribe's output jack) directly to the Mini KP via a 1/4 inch jack-to-RCA cable. I have tried using Send mode previously but then you only hear the sound of whatever's connected when you touch the Mini KP's X-Y pad. This ...

Thanks, I'll try the headphone jack. I emailed Korg Repairs and they said it would cost £60 p/hour of labour and £15 for parts and return carriage and then vat would be added on top of that. Plus they will charge £30 + vat for any quote they give that I then decline. So it could cost me £75 minimum t ...
