The Cakewalk UA-1G serves me well. I record one track at a time into Logic X 9 with no noticeable lag, even when I'm sequencing from Logic. I got mine for 100 dollars, and it hasn't failed me yet.

Thanks for the quick reply... but unfortunately, both suggested fixes didn't solve my problem. I'm beginning to think it's just a quirk of the synth. Argh! I wish I could get to the bottom of this! haha

I've been working on a wobble-bass patch that's shaping up, but for some reason the low end seems to drop out at random. I'll hit a key, and the sound will be nice and full. Then I'll hit another key (or the same key again) and the bass will be weak. It's almost sounds like it's on a slow, offbeat ...
