That's what i'm having trouble with. It's not triggering the esx.cooptrol wrote:If you draw a C1 or any note on the Pro Tools and press play it should trigger the ESX part that corresponds.

Or, another option, is to connect the ESX to the audio inputs of your soundcard. If you have a more or less good soundcard you should be able to listen to the ESX with almost no latency. Is this what you are talking about? Kind of. I want to be able to hear the ESX while pro tools plays the midi ...

So I figured out how to do both of them, but as of right now I'm not sure what the point is. I mean it's great to be able to use the midi editor in pt as opposed to song mode on the esx, but without being able to hear what i'm playing/editing in unison with pt, it seems kinda pointless. For instance ...

I'll try this tonight. #2 answered my question, i was setting the output channels not the input channels. I'm not sure i understand #1 but I'll mess around with it and see what happens. As for the sound, I know that midi only records data and not audio but i was just curious if i could like the play ...

Re: Creating full tracks with the Electribes
_Sequencing the Electribe with a computer via MIDI, and then recording the sequence in a song with empty patterns, to be able to reproduce the song without using the computer in a live situation. This is good cos you still use song mode, but the structure doesn't have to stick to the pattern ...

Okay nevermind, I found the transmitting data by midi section in the manual. Thanks for introducing me to this, it just opened up a bunch more possibilities. Also I figured out how to get the part mute to work. Turns out you have to have something recorded on the original pattern for some reason ...

1) I create a pattern with the sound I like, without sequences This is what I do, but since I don't have Live I just head straight into song mode and record. But for some reason it doesn't let me part mute anything so I can't undo any of the event recordings I do. Do you know of another workaround ...

Turn "mute hold" "on" in Song-Mode, then insert your Pattern for example 30 times, go to the Song-beginning and hit "Record" and start to groove the hell out of your pattern by muting/umuting parts. Everything will be recorded! -roxxx303 This works for the preset patterns, but for the ones that I ...

Quick Question
In pattern mode I can hit shift-6 and select all the pads to start a pattern from scratch, while still having the samples assigned to each pad. How do I do this in song mode? I just want to start with nothing and build the track.

how could it NOT be central with a single speaker?! yeah that was stupid of me I have a 1/4 inch adapter. Turns out, when i adjust the pan all the way to the right when it's in my amp it's a lot lower than when it's panned all the way to the left, to the point where some of the parts I can't hear ...
