I would add that I have reinstalled the operating system and it still isn't working. I can also confirm that this is a new fault as this chord previously worked!!

SV1 arrgh! Diagnose the fault please!

Every note is working fine. Then I play a C G and upper C together. Still works. Then, if I hold this chord and then ring in the B below the upper C, the B note doesn't play. This fault occurs on every octave! Weirdly, this error ONLY occurs with this chord!!!!! Any other chord seems to work. What ...

Question for those who have been kind enough to help me so far.

Is it possible to bounce a song from my PC DAW to a new project on the R24?

If so, how?

Quick update. Had my first band practice with the R24. In fact, I left the piano at home! Everything went really well. I was really delighted that what I heard via the headphones (i.e. the mix) sounded well through the PA. This gives me confidence for live performances. One thing I felt though was a ...

another thing i've noticed with the R16 is that when you create a new project it uses the settings you had in the previous one, very helpful when you've set all the stereo linking, insert effect and send/return effects to how you want them.. Ah yes, I found this one out by accident. Whilst I guess ...

Thanks @Punpkomg. Yes- good point re: putting all tracks on one project. Will consider it as it's a bit slow getting from one project to the next. I'm really enjoying working WITHOUT a PC at the moment. I know I'll need to integrate it sooner rather than later, but it's really stretching my creative ...

Finally had a chance to have a sit down and a look at my new toy, the Zoom R24. Initial thoughts: 1. Thank god for the instruction manual. Despite the R24 being reasonably easy to use, it can be quite daunting at first 2. Drum sounds are poor. Didn't buy it for that though. To have it (along with a ...

Zoom R24 ordered. Best deal I could find online was £379 which included some crappy headphones. Got a refurbished model (1 years manufacturer guarantee) for £249 which I think is a good deal. I shall continue to post here and will attempt to change the thread title to include "ZOOM R24" so others c ...

Hi bill, I agree with everything you've said, except for one caution about buying used Shure mics because there's a large number of counterfits out there that are virtually indistinguishable from the orginals, except for sound quality and the internals. Even authorized dealers are fooled by the ...

For those who care, I'm in in the UK.

All venues tend to have a PA, Backline, loads of mics etc, but perhaps not enough mics to stretch to percussion etc.

Bill- interesting point re: phantom power mics. I was looking at the SE1a mics, but can pick up used SM57s much cheaper.

Finally, at least once in your set, play without backing, or be willing to experiment with arranging a tune or two without it. You might want t o check out some of the "String Quartet Tribute to.... (artist)" albums at iTunes to see what I'm talking about; these are extreme examples but you will ...

xmlguy wrote: You could also buy an 8 input splitter box, which would let you use the R24 for recording the performance and sending the backing tracks to the PA, with the PA still responsible for house mix.
Can you explain this in 4 year old terms?

Looks like I'm sold on the R24!!!

I'd love to pick up one second hand but there appears to be none out there.

Will keep looking and bite the bullet in a week if nothing appears.

THANKS!!!!!!!!!
