Normal procedure would be to send the M50 main outs via a DI box to the FOH mixer/console and have the sound tech send you a pre-fader AUX to your monitor. You'd have to ask the tech to adjust your volume. Alternatively: run the LINK output of the DI into your powered monitor. You'd have to use the ...

External keyboard + sustain pedal?

Hi! On stage I hook up an external midi controller (an old Roland PC-200) for quick access to extra sounds. The controller has only a midi-out, no pedal inputs and is sending on midi channel 8. On the M50 in SEQ mode I configure a track & program for channel 8. This all works fine, except... a ...

It is installed with "Korg M50 External Setups" (M50_ExtSetup_e.exe), which is on the CD that came with your M50. After installation you can find it in: C:\Program Files\KORG\M50\M50 External Setups\Steinberg\Cubase or, if you have a 64-bit system, in: C:\Program Files (x86)\KORG\M50\M50 External ...

Spoiler alert

Don't want to spoil the suspense, but the KORG support page has some interesting things to show if you increment the product ID a few times...

No Kronos yet though...

A good example is where you are recording in the studio and you have an pad with an arpeggiated synth and you want to record them to different tracks by using the alternate outputs. Or if you are playing live and want to route them out to different channels of a submixer to control the volume ...

Oh dear, us sound engineers have a bad rep! ;-)

I'm sure there are crap engineers out there, but trust me, we are not all like that. I take pride in my work, and I want to make the band sound as good I/they can. I consider myself part of the band, even if it just for one night.

Re: Korg M3 a flop! Hope Namm'11 will show a new Trtion inst

We all know that M3 has flopped. Its hardware is better than the triton (the touchscreen, etc) but its external design is so cheesy and most of all its sounds are very weak and pathetic compared to Triton. Triton had that character: aggressive, expansive, spacey that made Korg famous. You must have ...

I'm a sound engineer at an indy concert venue, as well as vocalist and keyboard player in a few bands. I agree with Synthoid: it is his job. That's what he's there for. He should not complain, but offer suggestions. But perhaps you can help him a little. Without knowing your band/style/skills/setup ...

They are bass-reflex ports, like on your hi-fi speakers. They are not for mounting a custom stand!
